  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 08:36 PM) Actually, in that situation, it was very important for Crede to get that runner home. With the pitcher up next, it would have likely put Pods in a situation where he had to get a 2 out hit. I don't like Crede at all, but at least he got the runner in. Now, if we can just get Garcia to stop throwing 3-1 fastballs to lefties with a righty up next, we'll be fine. He could hit a fly ball at coors field no?
  2. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 07:18 PM) Definitely hope she's ok. Coach Lowery at SIU goes through a similar thing and it must be brutal. Awkward seque but any chance the big man plays first tonight? If he does we should all go to colorado and beat the living s*** out of ozzie.
  3. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 02:27 AM) I ask now, will we have to trade more for Billy Wagner (who's in the last year of his deal), or Eddie Guardado (who still has 1 more year on his deal after this season). Wagner... there are alot of good bullpen arms out there next year.
  4. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 12:28 AM) We're playing in Coors, but we're not playing a destructive offense. We're playing the Colorado Rockies. If you get Clint Barmes and Todd Helton out, you're good. How about you look at how they hit at home as a whole and then compare is to how they hit away as a whole.
  5. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 11:36 PM) I would too, but there aren't any better 1B out there than PK sadly. There are decent options at 3rd but nothing above and beyond Crede IMO, and none that are going to make you spend a sig amount of cash and I don't foresee the Sox adding an Armando Benitez contract for a reliever, but something like 4 or 5 mil at the most) so X that out. The what are we gonna spend all of this on? Shingo = 2.525 million. Konerko = 8.75 million. Everett = 4 million. Ben davis is one million. Walker is 525,000k. Ozzie's slurrrrrrrrrping mate should be back. Thomas may or may not be back. if he does i cannot see it being for anything more than five million ( the 3.5 million buy out that he will recieve either way plus an additional 1.5). Then you add up the additional money that the sox have been upping the pay roll every year. Salary increases... garland, pierz, crede ( :headshake ). We will still have a good amount left over after buehrle, garcia, and a few others that have any significantincrease in pay go up.
  6. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 10:39 PM) I think Ozzie was pissed that Hermanson threw to 3rd base instead of getting the easy out at 1st so he yanked him. Ozzie obviously had to yank Hermanson anyways. He had no control whatsoever. At first, Vizcaino was going to pitch to Hafner but then he had a 2-0 count on him so he just issued the IBB. That was earlier in the game when politte relieved cotts. He fell behind broussard 2-0 then just intentionally walked him.
  7. QUOTE(mrzo2733 @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 10:19 PM) I think Willie and Timo both suck. I like Ozuna better than both. I think I'd rather have Timo up than Willie. He really doesn't bring that much to the table other than that he is younger. He's fast but doesn't make much out of it. :banghead :puke :sleep :rolly
  8. ...ozzie have hermanson throw the intentional walk before he left rather than have vizcaino who relieved him ( and has control probaems in the first place) throw his first four pitches for a ball. I didn't read the game thread at all so i don't know how every one else felt abotu this. But i was just sitting there saying wtf kind of move is this... as bad as it gets in my opinion. Sure it didn't hurt us in this case but that is not the point. It is just inexcusable if you ask me.
  9. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) Of course I like Amare Stoudemire. Outside of Shaq, KG, and Duncan, who is a more unstoppable paint force in this league? Like I've said before, I want the highest percentage shots possible, and it's very rare when you miss a dunk. Stoudemire led the league in dunks, IIRC. Nash is obviously one hell of a QB in the right place at the right time. Put Marion back at SF, Stoudemire back at PF, and you'll have some consistent defensive play out of those positions. Add a rebounding/shot altering presence to the C slot like Samuel Dalembert after you cut Johnson loose and start Jimmy Jackson from the jump at SG, and you can give the Spurs a much better challenge in 2006. Unless Jackson is just about done, I dunno. He's been in the league for 14 years. You'll also have a damn good 6th man/3 point specialist in Quentin Richardson. The Warriors don't make the Conference Finals for certain with a Wallace or a Garnett in addition to what they had last year minus Baron Davis? I'll buy that, I merely said that they'd be a Conference Finals contender. Point is, those four first tier guys are, minus Garnett, the championship links since Jordan retired. And KG? He'll lead someone to a title within the next four to five years. Amare was second, curry could have been possibly been third if he wasn't out for those games. http://www.sportsline.com/nba/dunk-o-meter/yearly

    QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 04:37 AM) Isn't that a follow up to Training Day? Not even close. It is a remake of the 1976 version. They were supposedly suppose to start on the second one but i don't knwo what is going on.
  11. December 13th 2005. I will make sure of it that i get the 1,000,000th post.
  12. QUOTE(Maury @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 02:07 AM) Spammer??????? f*** you prick, listen and know what it's about before you shoot your mouth off. We helped build this site . Not that i deserve all the credit, I deserve a tiny bit, but don't call us spammers. It's for your entertainment free and costs me 400.00 a year drunk or sober. Read up then cool of eh?
  13. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 01:54 AM) Huh? Drexler has a ring. Yes.
  14. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 02:00 AM) Um, you can't start Buehrle all 7 games. Well, I guess you could, but he'd be bound to get injured somewhere along the line. He can be thrown three times in a seven game series. Don't forget there will be off days in between and this is buehrle we are talking about. He has a rubber arm and would be up for it.
  15. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 02:00 AM) No, there's no admin on unfortunately. He has already said he will keep coming back. Just call this stupid asses isp and get him shut off if he keeps it up.
  16. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 11:53 PM) Neifi Perez > Uribe
  17. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 11:41 PM) NO. I don't understand some people and their greedy obsession with money. I don't understand people that don't care about money or waste it like fools either. Of course people now say sure they would take a white sox championship over 100,000k. I don'r care what anyone says now they would think twice about a championship over the money. If someone did walk up to you and say 100,000k or a white sox championship i have a feeling 99% of people would say the money and that doesn't mean they are not a loyal or die hard fan. There are tons and tons of reasons why the money could be needed. I know i could use it for a s*** load of things myself... and when i say i could use i mean i need.
  18. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 11:39 PM) Absolutely no doubt about it: A White Sox Championship. It's only money. I really don't care about money a whole lot. I have enough of it and will have enough of it later in life. Happiness>>>>>>Money. Money= happiness no?
  19. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 10:24 PM) The problem is Paulie is the same as Cruddy these days. The only thing one can hope from them is a HR every once in a while. Other than that, they hardly get any hits or walks. Konerko is fourth in the al in walks.
  20. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) It will be up to Frank now. No way do I think the Sox should give him anything more than like 3 or 4 million a year next year. We're not the type of team that can just overpay an aged veteran just to avoid pissing off the fans. Remember how we thought a lot of the fans would turn on the Sox cause Ordonez was gone? Hasn't happened. His buy out is 3.5 so it will be at least that much. I think they will give him another 1.5 and call it a day.
  21. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 07:29 PM) The reason they are keeping Timo over Harris is that Timo can play the OF and 1B I know, it still does not make much sense since now Gload can man 1B back up duty and Everett is already there for OF back up duty Harris would be better served being up here as he can back up both 2B and SS Ozuna can back up all IF spots except 1B I stopped reading after you said timo can play the outfield and first base. Good one.
  22. QUOTE(Beastly @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 07:04 PM) No one said you had to get into this and be a jerk about it.
