  1. Timo singled wo0t. That made up for it in the sox mind... especially considering that run didn't score on his error.
  2. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 03:36 PM) What is the most Uribe will make during that 3 year deal? 4 or 5 million? His contract is not a problem. Or maybe 9.75.
  3. Konerko walks with two outs. Pierz pops it up inning over.
  4. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 04:46 AM) Hey you Vizcaino going into this season because of his splits against lefties. He has always dominated lefties, it's not my fault he has done the exact opposite this season. I don't believe i loved him either... i thought he was passable.
  5. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 04:44 AM) And that wouldn't suprise me at all. There's so many teams out there looking for bullpen help anywhere, that there'll be some teams at the deadline inquiring about Baj. You are not looking at the bright side of things though... we will still have vizcaino and shingo.
  6. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 04:41 AM) He's not going to save our bullpen, if that's the line of thinking. But he deserves a chance in a Major League Bullpen somewhere, and I'm starying to get the feeling, it may not be with us. Then he will turn into gary majewski.
  7. Early to mid august at the earliest.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 04:34 AM) How did Baj perform in ST? I still think that he didn't exactly impress Ozzie last season, and he'll have a difficult time getting a call-up without an injury to a reliever. Is Baj really the long-term answer to our relief problem for the stretch run this season? Gave up one run in three innings i believe. The second question you asked i am guessing would be a no.
  9. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 01:56 AM) MB was tiring FT should of hit. He should been pinch hit for but because he was tiring? Come on.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 04:03 AM) - Our hitters have to get bet at fighting off tough pitches and not being such easy outs on 3-2 pitches. Nearly every single Sox hitter is totally off-balanced if the opposing pitcher throws an offspeed pitch on a 3-2 pitch. They all act like they're shocked they didn't see a fastball. If someone like myself can notice this pattern, I guarantee you that opposing scouting reports say the same exact thing. Our hitters need to be able to foul off a tough pitch in that situation, and see if they can get a better pitch to hit on the next pitch. Tonight was a pathetic display of hitting with a 3-2 count by our hitters. - Too many hitters are taking strikes right down the plate, but then swinging at balls off the plate when they get down in the count. - Also, the Phillies are playing great ball now. No way will they be trading Billy Wagner. Guardado would be a solid fit, but I have a feeling the Mariners will ask for a lot. We need some help in the bullpen though. Too many guys either are lacking confidence in the pen or they're showing signs of physical fatigue/ineffectiveness. Konerko, rowand, and dye are easily the best at looking at fastballs down the middle then following to up with a strike out on a low slider away. If they don't end up striking out it's just a weak grounder. Guardado has a full no trade clause and i don't know if he would be willing to come here ( really cannot see why not) but it is something to consider.
  11. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 12:45 AM) Speaking of our terrible offense, isn't it time for PK to be dropped down to 5th or maybe even 6th in the lineup? Although it wouldn't have made much difference in this particular game but he has been miserable with RISP this year. I think a clean up hitter needs to be hitting at least .260 or above and he's been around .220 and .235 all year. Perhaps we have Aaron bat 3rd, Frank 4th (AL parks obviously), PK or Dye 5th? Just a thought. I remember DJ saying in Colorado that PK is hitting around .200 or so with RISP. Take a look at what konerko has done the last twenty games or so... and trust me i am pretty sick of him but he has been great as of late.

    Hermanson

This talk of hermanson going through a stretch of 'tired arm'' is just insane to me. He has been a starter most of his career therefore my reasoning for thinking 20 some odd innings in over fifty games will not make his arm ''sore''. I am gonna say it is his back that is still bothering him and leave it at that. I never thought the hermanson pick-up was as good as advertised ( i honestly think his era will be over four this season and have said it all along, hope i am wrong though). I also never thought the pen was one of the top 3-5 in baseball which was being said all of this past off-season. Is it because of our ''depth'' that they are so good? Having 14 different guys that can be s***ty does not overly excite me. Oh and hernandez makes me sick watching him pitch.
  13. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 01:58 AM) He posted it like 7 hours before the game started I was seriously asking because i haven't read anything from the last full day until now.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 03:44 AM) Once again, I would just like to voice the fact that I am the ORIGINAL Neal Cotts backer, no matter what others may say. (And that means you Qwerty)
  15. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 03:10 AM) Prob not as skinny as the Aussie. I had 2 crumpets for lunch today, given the lack of options in the house. It'll be interesting to see what I'll have to eat in Phoenix though every-day, since I'll probably be the only one in the house during the week (mornings and afternoons). Any suggestions on any food I just MUST taste while I'm over? Some tasty vegetmite around those parts i hear.
  16. QUOTE(robin_ventura_eternal @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 01:27 PM) politte just seems hot right now. last night hermanson looked somewhat shaky in comparison to past closings where you knew it was over before he threw a pitch. keep throwing politte in, i say. Did you post this before hermanson was brought in?

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 01:23 AM) No, Hermanson is unreliable right now because of numbers that have been posted atleast 3 times in this thread already(5 runs in his last 7 outings). You call that reliable? You are lucky that hermanson has been mostly giving up unearned runs lately.
  18. Can we get that cartoon soft core pr0n out of here?
  19. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 12:23 AM) He could sue me, but I still think he's ghey. As do many others considering there is a new rumor every time you turn around about him.
  20. Anything by michael jackson does it for me.
  21. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 02:44 AM) He said 14. Whether he was lying or not, I respect those that do have a true strong work ethic. I was going to respond by telling him that many of us work boring office jobs in which we can afford to mess around on the computer... I know many people that work 12-14 hours a day. Some own their own business. Others are blue-collar and work overtime. It's not that uncommon, especially in such a blue-collar and work-oriented town. It was a narrow-minded comment, and I just hope that you were not implying that you think you're better than those who work minimum- or below-minimum wage jobs. QUOTE(Winnin Ugly @ May 30, 2005 -> 07:00 PM) Just beacause someone who has less than a 100 post doesnt mean he is a casual fan... Hell I work 16-18 hours a day and cant always have time to make a post does that make me less of a fan than someone who sits here all day... Twelve hours to fourteen hours i can see. A full time job and a part time job. 18 hours a day is more than two full time shifts in most cases. That leaves them six hours to spend time with friends/family, eat, sleep, etc. But he finds time to get on a message board? What i have read from his posts in the past is he has time to post but not to do so at work. So he goes home and posts on a white sox message board rather than sleep? I don't really care i just think he is ''fibbing'' a little bit.
  22. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 02:31 AM) That's a dickhead thing to say... You honestly believe he works 16-18 hours a day? There are only a couple reasons people would work 16-18 (two thirds of a person's day) f***ing hours a day. I don't know one person that is at their job for 18 hours a day. How many do you know?
