  1. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 05:19 PM) To get rid of Cruddy and replace him with a consistent, good-fielding, switch-hitter? Who is a free agent at the end of the year... Cotts is under contract for a long while and politte has an option next year which we will be picking up. Third base is not as big of a need as a bullpen arm contrary to what many believe. I mean i really hate cruddy but he is the least of our problems at this point in my opinion.
  2. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) damn, whose ass is that in your avatar Kelly clarkson.
  3. When has garland won 15 every year? Garland has been league average coming into this year and nothing more.
  4. QUOTE(sayitanitso @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 02:25 PM) What position did Jose Uribe play? He played short and all in all was a pretty s***ty player...
  5. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 02:11 PM) This is an interesting analysis: American League Defensive Analysis I agree with the vast majority of his points. I remember when Bill Mueller made miraculous play after miraculous play with the Giants and then with the Cubs, a major balls-out motherf***er. He is nowhere near what he once was. I don't care, I still hate Jose. What the hell is with people calling uribe ''jose''? That site called him that 2-3 times from what i saw. ... and i am too slow.
  6. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 01:26 PM) Tell me about it. Who has a better glove at 3B right now in the entire MLB? Maybe Rolen, but that's about it. Pablo ozuna?
  7. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 12:08 AM) And, though it's a small sample size, Marte's got a case of the reverse splits as well -- the lefties hitting better against him than righties. Cheat, that's a good point about Polanco. I never even thought about it like that. What's Mueller making this year? 2.5 million.
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 11:47 PM) I would definitely like this move. Now if we could only get Keith back too. You sure you want foulke back?
  9. Contreras has one horribly outing and people are ready to chop off his head.
  10. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 10:22 PM) Timo could hit that in high a ball... Liar.
  11. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 10:13 PM) guys he obviously meant the number 5 starters from last 2 years At this rate he won't be much of an improvement other than money.
  12. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 10:20 PM) Typical Twins victory there...sheesh What happened to your avatar aka lohan when she was hot?
  13. I have used this quite a bit lately... but was there ever any doubt?
  14. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 10:12 PM) Let's get Lindsay Lohan. She will drool the hitters to death. Not the lindsay lohan of new. :headshake :puke
  15. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 10:05 PM) Duque is still better than any of our 5 pitchers. I'll take it. Our offense though has gone back into a slump.
  16. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 09:56 PM) Hmm, let's see, did I mention Gonzalez, let me check. No I did not. John Grabow. He is serviceable and can fill multiple roles. True, you didn't. But alot of people here seem to think gonzalez is available ( who is lefty also ).
  17. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 09:53 PM) The lefthander from the Pirates. Pirates need an OF prospect. Mike gonzalez?
  18. QUOTE(wherehaveyougoneharold @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 06:25 PM) I keep hearing KC is taking offers for Sweeney. Think they'd trade within the division? No and we do not need for him his ridiculous contract. He also gets injured way too much for my liking don't know about you.

  20. Where is dbaho when you need him? Getting sick of that slacker. :headshake
  21. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 12:43 AM) It's two months worth of data. I'd imagine by the end of the season, Uribe will end up with a better -- what is it, UZR or RF than Vizquel. BTW -- Vizquel had what people called a good year last season, good for a 95 OPS+. Meanwhile, a 24-year-old Juan Uribe put up a 107 OPS+. Personally, I want Juan Uribe -- offense or no offense, and like Cheat has been saying, he seems to do better with a healthy Frank -- to be manning the SS spot into his late 20s. But I like Uribe a lot, so maybe that's just my bias speaking. Mercy, I can't believe I've put so much time into a fantasy trade thread... I think it is quite obvious that i agree with you... but their respective range factors and zone ratings have been hovering around the same place for a while. So it is still possibly that vizquel beats him out when it is all said and down but i would rather have uribe no doubt about it. In two to three years down the road this guy is gonna be a monster defensively and offensively ( for his position).
  22. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 12:35 AM) Uribe > Vizquel defensively. I belive Uribe has more range + better arm. Last year yes... this year no.
  23. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 12:27 AM) Can anyone pull out Omar's defensive stats for this year? YASNY? I see you are lurking around ready to tear my trade idea to smithereens (just kidding) http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/fielding?statsId=4306
