  1. I wonder how many animals he has been with? Something i bet he would do.
  2. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 01:07 PM) How are we going to find innings for Brower to turn it around if we cant find innings for Shingo to turn it around? Its trading for the sake of trading, and theres no real purpose. Also doesnt Shingo have a no trade clause? Sb I cannot find shingo's supposed no trade clause anywhere.
  3. QUOTE(Randar68 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 12:43 PM) You said yourself you've never seen Brian Anderson play. I love the way Rowand has turned himself into an above-average defensive player in CF after he looked like a lost boy there his first couple of years. I really don't care either way, but IMO Anderson is the better athlete and is bigger/faster. Like I said, it's a toss-up in my book, and Rowand is more suited for a corner OF spot, IMO, meaning I would play Anderson in CF and put Rowand in LF or RF depending on what you did with Dye. However, Pods' game is running and getting on-base and as long as he is here, how can you put him on the bench as a DH? That's the best way I can think of to get him hurt. He needs to be out there, staying loose, IMO, but his weak arm is frustrating. I didn't say i have never seen him play. I have not seen him play as often as others but i have seen him play. Also i agree 100% with podsednik... i am also sick of all those balls he misreads. In other words all of those ball that either go over his head or drop in front of him.
  4. QUOTE(Randar68 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) Gotta love defensive stats... Can't you see with your own eyes how much ground rowand covers compared to other outfielders around the league? I know i can.
  5. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 12:31 PM) I'd rather see a 94 MPH fastball get thrown over the plate than an 85 MPH meatball. I don't care if they through 120 if they are still getting rocked.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 12:21 PM) When Anderson gets called up he should be CF and Rowand should move to RF.... that would probably lead to Dye being the DH if Frank isnt resigned... and watching Dye in the field this year that could be a real good thing. Rowand is second in baseball zone rating this year and was first all of last year. Zone rating is the percentage of balls fielded by a player in his typical defensive zone. Rowand ever moves from center field for practically anyone the white sox are f***ed up. I can't envision anderson being a better center fielder than rowand... rowand is one of the best outfielders in the game and this is not being biased.
  7. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 02:08 AM) I was talking about the Wohlers who lost all of his control and then his fastball, not the stud Wohlers. He only went crazy for about a year and a half which is pretty weird considering he pitched a couple more years after that without awful walk rates.
  8. You guys are acting like wohlers was a scrub his whole career. He has a good string of three or four years in a row. I would take a wohlers type of pitcher that we basically got for free.
  9. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 01:46 AM) I'm don't think this will be happening anytime soon. Jenks is doing well but he still has a 3.00 ERA in AA with a poor walk rate. He will probally always have a bad walk rate. But i agree it is way too early and i just don't see it happening at this point ( him being brought up).
  10. Jenks would replace who...? He is not read for the big show yet anyway.
  11. QUOTE(soxman35 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 12:56 AM) Its not only him that gives me s*** about the cubs and sox. I am on the North side of town and a sox fan. I whare sox shirts and hats to school everyday. Everyday i get s*** for whareing that stuff and being a sox fan. I just want to give it to everyone who hates the sox. There are like 2 or 3 real sox fans in my school me and my friend and we are probably the most hated people in the school becsue of us liking the sox. But f*** that s*** i will always be a SOX FAN

  13. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 07:10 PM) This oughta be good. Let's hear this one qwerty. What do you want to hear? The strike zone is currently bulls***. Why are pitches called strikes at the ankles and then pitches at the belt go either way? Baseball was better off when the strike zone went from the letters to the knees, not the belt to the ankles. You are an ump and will probally back up how the umps call the game. But it is ridiculous in my opinion and many others.
  14. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 07:09 PM) He's important, yes. But I don't think he's as important as Everett is. Everett has been a big factor in many more games, whereas Harris only gets in every 3 or 4 games, at the most. And I want to clarify one thing. I'm not in favor of trading Harris. I'd like to keep him around, but if he could get us a good reliever, I'd be willing to part with him moreso than I would with Everett. I'd much rather just trade using the farm system, though. Harris is gonna be cheaper for years to come. Everett has a team option for next year which i can see williams dying to pick up. If i had a choice neither gets traded and we get rid of some minor leaguers. Lots of teams at the deadline are just looking to move a contract for anything in return. Neither everett or willie have to be apart of a trade for a reliever unless we are talking about a top notch closer ( which no one would want an aging everett in return considering that team would be bad).
  15. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 07:05 PM) i thought it was close enough to be called a strike, gutsy call by that ump. That was only close to a strike because the current strike zone in the mlb is ridiulously low. Raise the damn strike zone.
  16. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 12:58 PM) Carlos actually hit opposite field to continue the streak. But yeah I don't want to see Rowand try to more power, he has enough power where it'll come naturally. He's not going to be a 30 home run guy, I wish he'd just concentrate on being a .300 batting average guy. He hit 24 in 487 at-bats last year. I am pretty sure he can hit 30 in a season, won't be this year but he will a couple times.
  17. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 06:59 PM) Even if Vizcaino turns it around, I still feel like we need another quality reliever. Unless the trade blew my mind, I wouldn't trade Everett. If we're going to get a reliever, we might as well package up some minor league talent and someone like Harris (since apparently he doesn't get along with the team, and he's not nearly as important as Everett). Everett has been clutch this year and he just flat out produces. He can spell the outfielders perfectly and still probably play 4 or 5 games a week. Harris is every bit as important as everett is. He can play second and short ( second with the best of them). He can also play the outfield and does something not many opthers on out team can do... draw walks.
  18. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 06:48 PM) Did anyone else think the ball 4 on the bases loaded walk was probably a strike? I thought he was gonna call it a strike but in all reality it was at his ankles. Crede would have swung at it no problem.
  19. I would have shot her by now.
  20. Robert fick bunting for hits now... nice.
  21. That is piss poor. You always want the pitcher to start off the inning.
  22. Greene with a two out single right up the middle.
  23. We are due for one more run in the 7th inning.
