QUOTE(Brian @ May 13, 2005 -> 06:23 PM) I guess I'm in the minority in term of Christina Aguilera when I say, "I'd still hit it."? I am with you 100%.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 13, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) Have any of our starters not ever batted in the majors? No. Garcia is the only one over .150 at .241.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 13, 2005 -> 01:25 AM) Is he only making 4 mill this season? I thought it was more like 5, or 6, but now that I think of it, what's the 2nd year of his contract worth and isn't there a buyout? And it's probably more likely the Sox would try an in house solution before acquiring Wilson anyways. Now if it was CRAIG Wilson we were talking about, that's a different story. Also, craig wilson> konerko, even before this season.

12.5 - 4 = six million different? Different math there in australia?

Wilson is a slightly better version of dye. If he did do what he did in 2003 his career numbers would actually be worse. If anyone could come up with a solid reason why wilson is 8.5 million dollars better than dye i will eat my shoe and record it (by the way stepped in dog s*** today). So it be all that much tastier.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 13, 2005 -> 12:40 AM) He sure does. It was a full no-trade clause, but he said that New York didn't want him anymore and knew they weren't going to give him anymore chances. He said if someone doesn't want you in their house, then you leave. He said he likes Ozzie and that since the White Sox wanted him, that's why he waived his no trade clause. Of course El duque coming over is even better for him. See, there's way less pressure on Contreras(even if making the playoffs and stuff) because the White Sox are a low-key team and if he blows something, we'll be pissed, but we'll forgive. Talking about different circumstances since shingo does not have one.

QUOTE(sircaffey @ May 13, 2005 -> 12:35 AM) I'll take Helton instead... Say good by to our top prospects and say hello to an insane contract.

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ May 13, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) Different Circumstances. Jose hated New York. Totally different circumstances since he does not have one.

It is holmes. Well you can use it either way. -
QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ May 12, 2005 -> 11:58 PM) I remember reading about it when he was signed. I think the first year was partial no-trade and the second was full no trade or it may be the other way around. Don't think so but i may be wrong. Find an article if you can.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 12, 2005 -> 11:25 PM) It means the Bulls are a good defensive team, and Hinrich plays well within a team defense. But like I said before, he isn't as lock-down as you're trying to make him out to be. The quote you provided from that garbage site you frequent, bbbb or whatever, basically agrees with me. "That said, he isn't your traditional lock-down defender when discussing good defenders. He has shown some flashes of being able to lock down guys on certain possessions, but that is about all." All you did was repeat what I said, but just made it a lot longer... Re-read my post. Here's a quick excpert of the point that I made: I'm a Hinrich fan, and he's a good team defender, but just about any top-tier guard can take him one-on-one. Garbage site because very few people agree with you? This is a garbage site too because basically no one agrees with you then. I believe he said... ''Hinrich is one of the best positional defending guards that I have seen in a long time.'' ... ''I feel Hinrich guards the SG position the best.'' Missed that i take it. Arenas is not a top tier guard? Hinrich doesn't hold guards through out the year to a very low percentage? Why don't you see what the kobe's, iverson's and tmac's have shot off of him this year? He is much more than a good team defender he is a great man on man defender. To say he is not one of the top five is ludicrous. Because iggy is a rookie should not mean he doesnt make it. If you are arguably the best perimeter defender in the league you should get your respect if you are 19 or 39. The nba goes strickly by reputation at ths point and it is sickening. Anyway, go ahead and think hinrich is not one of the best man on man defenders, you will just be in the vast minority. Then again huges = god defensively to you so what you gonna do. -

Larry hughes is way out of his league on that 1st team. Duncan, wallace, garnett and bowen.. then hughes, haha. The 2nd team guards aren't really much better though, there aren't too many well known elite defending guards right now. It'll take guys like iguodala and hinrich some time to work their way up to where they can make the 2nd or 1st team over guys like Kidd, who gets by solely on reputation nowadays. Iverson has a very good case too. Man, wade doesn't even guard the best guard/small forward on the team, EDDIE JONES DOES. But he is some how on the second team for guarding lesser talented shooters? I don't undertstand. Kidd's defense is no longer worthy of this selection do to him losing a step, either is payton, nba finally learned that with him. -

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 12, 2005 -> 10:49 PM) The first-team was about what I had in mind, and Hughes doesn't gamble as much as some people want to say... Hinrich isn't an elite defender, plain and simple. I'm a Hinrich fan, and he's a good team defender, but just about any top-tier guard can take him one-on-one. Wade's quickness and strength make him a good defender, contrary to this board's opinions, but I also was not expecting to see him make it. Kidd was injured. That didn't make sense... Wizards fans say he is one of the biggest gamblers in the league. That also seems to be the general consensus about his defense. Um, hinrich shut both arenas and hughes done for the playoff series. Both of them can also run faster than hinrich. Arenas shot 37.3% for the series, and hughes 40.1%, which aren't exactly stellar fg%. Arenas had 19.7 fga/game and hughes was at 19.5 fga/game, and if you shoot that much over the course of a game you're bound to score points. This post is coming from someone that is not a bulls fan by the way. What does it say when allen iverson, one of the best scorers in the league says hinrich is the best defender in the last several years? Some of the best defenders banks, watson, hunter, and snow are like like hinrich, not flashy but get the job done. About that arenas shot. Arenas went 5-14 from the field that game. He's just a very good player who hit a clutch shot with some great defense in his face ( both hinrich and chandler who just missed it). The Bulls were 3rd in the league when it came to per for opposing sg's during the regular season. Hinrich was the primary sg defender for the bulls. Wonder what that means? -
