  1. Little ass f***ing pop up, lets score some dayum runs.
  2. Dye with the two out walk, 1st and second two outs for uribe.
  3. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 10, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) I assumed Kenny would force Cincy to pick up quite a bit of Griffey's contract Teams have done that in the past while trading with Kenny, so it is possible Just look at what happened with the Arod contract. The Rangers picked up a huge amount of the contract, and considering how much better ARod is to Griffey, this is possible. ANd the Sox will not have to pay much in terms of salary or prospects fro Griffey. Griffey's value is at a all time low with the injury + contract issues. It is a huge roll of dice but something that could turn out very well IMHO. The reds are not the rangers or the yankees. They are not gonna eat much of his contract if anything at all. His contract is f***ing huge and there is no reason to bring an injury riddled player in here.
  4. Konerko with the one out walk rowand up.
  5. Just so you know d.j. said right before the first walk that contreras has been limiting his walks. Then well you know what happened next.
  6. Tied 4-4 on a toby hall three run homerun.
  7. Contreras getting wild walking the first two batters of the inning.
  8. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 10, 2005 -> 07:22 PM) Widger is hitting .333. Sick.
  9. Double for crede to score widgemeister 4-1.
  10. Widgemeister doubles to score uribe. 3-1 sox.
  11. QUOTE(rafacosta @ May 10, 2005 -> 06:04 PM) So D-Rays have two catchers playing???? Let's win this series...we can't lose to teams that we must beat! Holy f*** i was not even around the last time you posted here.
  12. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ May 10, 2005 -> 04:46 PM) Who was the GM at the time of that Trade? That who is responable for it..Otherwise you basiclly telling me that KW was unable to handle the GM duties. Lets end this we will never agree that you are wrong to think that KW is a great GM, and You will never admit that I am right and saying that KW is one of the worst GM in the game today. Lets just enjoy the last run for KW, cause in my mind if we don't win crap this year.. in the words of Hawk HE GONE! and maybe we can get a GM in here who doesn't need to be babysat. Schueler f***ing takes credit for it what do you not understand? Have i ever once said kw is a great gm? Far from it. He has had his fair share of f*** ups but he has also done some good things with the white sox. But everything good he has done you choose to look the other way. By one of the worst that means he is one of the five worst in the mlb correct? Don't think so. If we make the playoffs i can assure you kw will be back whether you like it or not.
  13. QUOTE(MinnesotaSoxFan @ May 10, 2005 -> 04:31 PM) Born in Aurora, Il. On August 3rd, 1986 at 1:37 pm. Moved to Rockford, Il. in 1990. Moved to Byron, Il. in 1998. Moved to Winona, Mn. in 2003. Graduating on the 3rd of June, 2005. (All of you are invited to my graduation party) Also I almost got my ass kicked because of me screaming twins suck to a college kid. here is the dialogue... Me: TWINS SUCK! College Kid: You Suck My Friend: Doug run,run,run... (I run to the end of the street) My Friend: Your momma sucks my cock! (College kid throws and hits my friend with a beer bottle) (I run off) That is the key to telling this is nothing more than a lie. :headshake
  14. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ May 10, 2005 -> 04:36 PM) But, Todd Ritchie was the answer right? What about David Wells? Ron schueler takes credit for the richie trade... as has been said a million times. David wells was not a bad trade considering the guy we traded is no longer playing baseball. Most likely playing softball at this point. Kw could not see into the future and see that wells was gonna get hurt and call out frank.
  15. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ May 10, 2005 -> 04:31 PM) Well if 2000 was a fluke like you say it was.. Why did it take KW 4 years to realize this and break up the "core" of players? OR was it he thought that it wasn't a fluke.. or the better option.. THe man was in way over his head. Our ''core'' was the offense and not the pitching. Our ''core'' was just fine but what he needed to improve on then was the pitching.
  16. Punto > rivas. It is that simple really.
  17. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ May 10, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) Read the whole post before responding.. THis is Ozzies team NOT KW.. If it wasn't for Ozzie we still would have LEE, Maggs.. and a crappy pitching staff. KW would have problally resign Schoenweiss, and, lead the peons belive that yet again he is/was worth a spot in the rotation. Look since he took over the GM spot, we ahve had 1-2 decent starters and then some patch work starters in there. You are never going to win with a staff like that. But, according to KW mind set you can.. I so sick of blaiming injuries as an excuse, good teams overcome injuries with a good farm system something that we had before KW, and now finally getting back to where it was. BUt, I am sure he trade away more of it so we can finish 2nd place again.. And as far as the other GM are conserned.. How many of those GM's where handed and DIvision title winner and one of the best farm systems in baseball only to not make the playoffs in the first 4 years? One of the best farm systems in baseball? Haha, they were all either busts or extremely over rated. Not much he can do with that. As has been said before that 2000 division title was flukey as all hell. How many teams can get by for half a season while losing three three and four hole hitters? It can be done but it is a very limited amount of teams that can do so.
  18. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 10, 2005 -> 03:22 PM) Who is that picture next to the Widger one? Billy wagner, you are gonna hear about him alot on here the next couple months. Fish you rowand.
  19. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 10, 2005 -> 02:42 PM) I would trade Dye + mid level prospect to the Reds for Ken Griffey Jr at the trade deadline. You do know how much is left on his contract right? Also you have to remember when this guy sneezes he is out for a month.
  20. QUOTE(beck72 @ May 10, 2005 -> 03:06 PM) Because Dye has performed well over the years, esp when healthy. By all accounts, he's healthy now. With the weather warming up, Dye's numbers will as well. Rowand, another CA guy like Dye, also has started slow in April and May. Playing in Chicago/ midwest in the spring may take getting used to. .240 last three years against righties says it all to me.
  21. QUOTE(beck72 @ May 10, 2005 -> 03:02 PM) Wouldn't the sox only get picks if they offered him arbitration? With his $9 mill contract, the sox wouldn't offer him arb. What are the chances he would accept considering most likely his last big pay day will be after this year?
  22. Uribe hits for much more power, plays multiple positions, and his defense >>> miles defense. Give me miles anyday.
