  1. QUOTE(YoungstownIndians @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 05:51 PM) Okay A troll would be Just doing this in every post. SOX SUCK! INDIANS WILL WHIP YOUR ASS THIS YEAR. I can't help it you are so one sided and bias you won't listen to what I have to say.. RE: The Game Lawton won for the Indians. I was in my car going home like 95% sure we lost and then BA BAM... Nothing like a TOM HAMILTOM MOMENT! If you have no idea of tom hamilton, who is one of the best in baseball, listen hear, and check this out! http://www.zenhex.com/imp-ret.html You need some help.
  2. QUOTE(HoosierSox @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 05:21 PM) Shouldnt that be in green. No, why would it?
  3. I would like to upgrade our lead-off hitter.

    Mos would be crying hysterically if she was dead.
  5. QUOTE(southsider17 @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 04:09 PM) Where did you get that? ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I have never ever seen that.
  6. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 03:31 PM) We are talking about Illich! Have you seen how much $ he's spent on his Redwings in recent years? He's the Steinbrenner of the NHL & eventually broke the league. What does a healthy Maggs mean to the Tigs? Is it worth gambling 6M? For a team with 6M to burn the answer is an easy yes. Is a healthy ordonez worth 15 million for a team that has money to burn? Nope.
  7. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) I'm looking at this completely different. Lee was gone. That was a given. I do not think that signing Maggs to a 12M arbit award means we don't sign Dye. I still think we sign Dye. The difference is with both Maggs & Dye, Lee is pkg'd in a trade for someone like Hudson arm rather than Pods, Vizc, & a PTBNL. The Tigers paid 6M for a trial period of Maggs. If he's on the DL more than 25 times due to his knee the contract is void as is the signing bonus. How can you call that dumb? Um, did you not see the contract they signed him to? Supposedly they have only seen him run with no workout. But maybe he meant, tiger= genius.
  8. QUOTE(JimH @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 09:56 AM) Disagree, and IMO you think too highly of yourself. Besides, it's credible, not creditable ... but I am not perfect with spelling and grammar either. Think if he did that narcissist quiz. He would have probally broken the scale.
  9. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 02:05 AM) What about that Russian News Station where the news anchor strips with each story that passes (and no it's not a dude). I believe canada has a news station that they are topless. I remember seeing it on vhi with the walking down the street interviewing them. All the guys were just staring at them. It was pretty funny actually.
  10. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 12:25 AM) Need I say that last season was a down year for Furcal as well. And the Expos did have Tony Batista, Brad Wilkerson, Jose Vidro and Juan Rivera in their lineup just to name a few. And he hit only .249 against righties with a .645 OPS. Yes, caberera sucks but let's talk about it again. Furcal's 162 game average's are as follows. 643 at-bats, 111 runs, 183 hits, 32 doubles, 7 triples, 11 homeruns, 57 rbi, 63 walks, 97 strike outs, 35 stolen bases, 11 cs, .283 average, .347 obp, .404 slg, and .751 ops. Cabrera's 162 game average's are as follows 592 at-bats, 74 runs, 159 hits, 39 doubles, 4 triples, 12 homeruns, 69 rbi, 41 walks, 54 strike outs, 16 stolen bases, 5 cs, .268 avg, .316 obp, ( ew) .409 slg, and .725 ops. 2005 salaries. Furcal- 5.6 million. Cabrera- 6 million. Furcal is also 26 and cabera is already thirty. So there is a good chance furcal still may improve. If it came down to who holds their liquor better i may go with cabrera though.

    Films

    QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Feb 6, 2005 -> 10:25 PM) the thought never entered my mind to ever see that movie. :headshake :puke I watched it for the hell of it and it was better than you would have thought. It was just one of those movies that all the critics hated but turned out not that bad.
  12. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 08:47 PM) ROFL, there is no way they would call that a foul on MJ nor any other halfway decent player in the NBA. Then that means my boy pike would have gotten away with it right?
  13. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 09:29 PM) Apparentley he thinks Shingo's only blown save last year represents this year's bullpen well. :headshake Man, i was at that game. I was so f***ing pissed.
  14. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) Do you have any other potential position keepers, or closers with any ability? I want to know about his relievers also. Because in a twelve person league like this you really need to try and lock up one stud closer and a couple decent closers. I have never been stupid and gotten gagne in ike the second or third round. I would rather get dotel and say mota several round later. While saves is a category it is not the most important.
  15. QUOTE(Mr. Zero @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 09:12 PM) I'd keep Matsui, especially if guys like Pujols, Arod, or Beltran are going at $30+. Matsui I think is gonna put up some monster numbers next year. Exactly, my main reason for taking him over edmonds is health reasons. If it was just a regular league though i would take edmonds.
  16. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 06:44 PM) Here's his 2005 version where he say, begrudgingly, the same thing... http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/sports/10828010.htm Well i could no longer read after i saw this. :headshake
  17. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) Of course And then Joe Posnanski, when the Royals were in last place by a million games, comes out with an article..."I guarantee the Royals will win the division.' HAHA, LMFAO Well that is a bolder prediction that saying you think the yankess are gonna make the playoffs. So he has that much going for him.
  18. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Feb 6, 2005 -> 01:22 PM) Iggy: He's a complete unknown but he's had more post-season success in Japan than Katz had. I think that means something. I expect his first year to be 350+ OBP, & mid 700's SLG. A marked improvment over Harris. If iguchi has a .700 slg i will set up a shrine.
  19. QUOTE(YoungstownIndians @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 04:04 PM) I never said I didn't like the rules. I simply can say my dislike toward the SOX and the rest of the division... And yes bad the last 3 years, well look then during the 90s....That is US this YEAR! You can say that the sox suck is a respective manner maybe? I know i would not go to a indians board spewing what you are. You have a team full of guys who have put up good numbers one full year and have never really done it before. Something to be excited about i know. Along with two solid starters one who just had his first really good season.
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 03:57 PM) What was Victor Martinez's CS%? I thought he was pretty decent at throwing guys out. .252cs% and 4.98 cera.
  21. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 11:54 AM) Uribe: He has enough speed to steal 17+ SB. While getting thrown out 22 times...
