QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jan 31, 2005 -> 01:48 AM) I'm really hoping that the Twins f*** Johan over, and he's good friends with Ozzie and Freddy. I highly doubt that we get him. But man, would that pwn.

QUOTE(GASHWOUND @ Jan 31, 2005 -> 01:01 AM) You should do what i did...I got to see 8 movies for free...I joined the Blockbuster online rental service 2 week free trial...rented 6 new release movies before the trial ended and when you join you get two coupons a month for free in-store rentals..total of 8 movies I got for free..Garden State was one of them.. Plus the gift card I got for Christman The last 15 movie I rented were free.. You need to get the movie pass. Only 20 bucks per month for two movies per day or 25 bucks per month for three movies per day. I know you can get the online one but going there and getting it is much better, at least for me since i only live a block or two away from one.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 08:36 PM) Pierzynski or Alex Sanchez. Ya, they would have a shot at it. Man, if sanchez could ever learn how to take a f***ing walk. He would be one of the very best lead-off hitters in the game. He has ridiculous speed ( not that good of a base stealer) and was on pace for breaking the all time bunts for hits record last year until he got hurt. He also knows how to hit the ball to all fields which is always a nice thing.

QUOTE(SouthSideScraper @ Jan 29, 2005 -> 10:12 PM) Well, forgive my mis-reading. I love the mudslinging on this forum....especially the stuff handed out by a 21yr old kid. Ah well. Name calling aside..... Millar is out.....18hr's and 74 RBI's isn't what I'd like in a replacement at first....I don't think the Sox will either. .297 BA is good, but I'd like more run production. And we're going to need some kind of power production on the team....Especially if Thomas doesn't get back into swing. Then there's Crede who needs to cowboy up as well. Dye remains to be seen. Point is we know Konerko can. And if Paulie takes a paycut to stick with, then fantastic. It only prooves that he's stand-up....or that he knows his future is tentative due to his hip and wants to make sure he has a home. Either way, I love the guy and hope he sticks around for a while. Millar would probally put up 25 homeruns, .300 average, and anywhere from .360 obp to .380 for roughly half the cost. He is ten time more versatile than konerko. He can play left, right, first, and third base in a pinch. He is an upgrade speed wise. Not by alot, but he still is. I have also heard he is pretty damn fan friendly. To say he would not consider playing in chicago is asinine. He is an upgrade over konerko anyway you look at it, other than age.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) Also Chi-Guy was the first one to use the flags btw. No, i had them before he registered.

QUOTE(JimH @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) Are you talking about the nose picking guy? Yikes.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) But the scenario that someone (was it me?) created earlier was that these two players -- your .290/.430 guy and your .375/.385 guy -- had within five homers of each other, and an OPS within .020 points or so of each other. Of course, if the .375 guy is knocking in 30 more runs than the other guy, and hitting 20 more homers, I'll definitely take him. But I put them on an equal plane as far as driving in runs/x-tra base hits/homers. I have only had one question throughout this thread. Who is the hitter, ozzie? Because no one would have a differential of just .10 of batting average to obp.

QUOTE(JimH @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 08:11 PM) There is nothing at all wrong with it, just goofing around. Just me, I prefer the hot chick avatars. I would have the old one back in there. But i am still having problems getting other avatars to fit correctly even after what aboz said to do.
-
QUOTE(JimH @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 08:08 PM) Actually to be honest, you've had much better avatars. You had one with a hot chick for example. Much better. This one is on a par with the basketball player picking his nose, not good. I vote that all avatars should be of hot chicks, unless you're an older guy like quickman, in which case it should be a picture of cheap beer like Huber or Hamm's or Falstaff. I see nothing wrong with it. Explain please.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 07:55 PM) Sorry, but Playmate my ass, what the hell is Piazza standing next to??? Don't know but... :puke

QUOTE(JimH @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 08:01 PM) qwerty, I think quickman asked this, who is that in the avatar, is that you? Looks like Gaylord Perry loading up on the grease from his cap bill for one of those nasty split finger pitches he threw, LOL. Got it from a site with a bunch of video avatars. But from now on when people ask i am gonna say it is me.

QUOTE(Hall of Famer @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 01:22 PM) Those aren't his stats from last year. In fact, I dno't even think he played last year. Yes they are. http://www.sports-wired.com/profiles/OZ/tbc628.asp

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 11:59 AM) Who are you kidding? KW has hoped to get rid of Frank for the last several years, beginning with the new contract. The Sox have hoped Frank would gamble and not exercise his option so they could cut him loose. If Frank comes back and has a great year, then they might find a way to keep him. If not, I'd be willing to bet they buy him out. Now they may try to resign him to a lesser deal or more incentive-laden deal, if they do so, but I think unless FT bounces back big, you may have seen the last of Frank in a Sox uniform unless he plays at a serious discount. Just my opinion........ I think what reinsdorf says about frank goes. Don't think it matters how much kw does not want frank on the team.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 03:27 AM) It's amazing how quick this board is to put the label of "injury prone" on a player. Let a guy get one debillitating injury and he's forever "injury prone". 122 games in 2002, 58 in 2003, and 86 in 2004. It's not like he was on the bench, he was starter every year in one position or another. I would definitely consider him injury prone.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 01:56 AM) I don't think the Bulls are going to get it, especially if they struggle when they play all those road games. I'm thinking it's a battle between Washington and Orlando for that 6th spot. Yes, because the magic are so much better than the bulls.
