QUOTE(103 mph screwball @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 06:12 PM) If the Sox sign Iguchi, I think it would be wise to keep Willie in case Iguchi has a difficult transition. Worst case would be that Iguchi platoons with Willie. Iguchi's marketing value will justify some of his salary. If Iguchi turns out to be a difference maker and Willie is not getting any playing time, then package Willie in a trade for whoever the Sox may need during the season. Put me on the Iguchi bandwagon. Is there no chance that Iguchi could handle SS for a game or two here and there? I wonder if his shoulder problems linger. Iguchi will play short if he is the very last option. Otherwise, no.

QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) Its usually not important unless the home team gets on a run and all the fans get into to it. Then that can turn a game around It is important, i was just joking.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 05:08 PM) 360-223 Record of home teams. Look no further than the Spurs who are 21-1 at home. While only 12-8 on the road. Don't tell me home court isn't important. Home court isn't important.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 04:29 PM) it todays NBA being at home is way overated... sure it helps but it aint like it used to be or like it is in College.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) What's your point. In their winning streak their first two games were on the road and they beat the decent teams. So it really doesn't make a difference. They have a losing skid goin, and they have lost to two teams with losing records and they are playing a team with a losing record tonight. Losing on the road is totally different from losing at home. That is my point.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 03:12 PM) What's the difference? That's the past. This team doesn't deserve comparisons to the other post Jordan teams other than the fact that they are way better than those teams. People always say in the last twenty years so and so has been manhandled going just 2-38. Even when the teams may be totally different years later, some teams always seem to have the edge, even if they have a worse team. The refs at the palace always seem dirty as f***, billups can punch hinrich in the face and it will go unnoticed. But if hinrich sneezes on billups it will be a foul.

QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 03:20 PM) I dont really see a spot for him on the bulls uniform.... but i absolutely love the guy... he just made one realllllly bad mistake. Never gonna forget the triple-double he put up against jason kidd. I hope he goes anywhere but NY or LA Well, the bulls and him have a mutual agreement that he would have the first crack at the bulls. They won't have williams or pargo next year so i think there may be a spot for him.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 03:09 PM) December 22nd: Bulls 89, Pistons 82 @ Detroit. Some pwnage huh. They did it before, they can do it again. I wouldn't pick the Bulls in this one, but I'm just saying it's possible. I said since jordan left, implying more than just this year.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 03:06 PM) The UAB Memphis game on ESPN2 this afternoon is being announced by Jason Williams, formerly of Duke and the Bulls. Good to see him with a job. I wonder if this means he has given up on returning to basketball as a player or at the very least it's looking doubtful for him. Anybody know if this is a one shot deal or has he been announcing more games this year? He has announced a few other games on espn 2 this year. He also has said he wants to come back last month or so of this year. If no one offers him a job this year he will try again next year.

I hate snow, that is all that i know.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) Very true, but but you will still have little confidence if your team has lost it's last two games especially against losing teams like Orlando and Milwakee regardless if it was away games cause that's no excuse (even worse for a team that won it all last season.) Both of those losses were on the road. Losing to them still suck but at least they did not lose at home. Now they are coming home to play the bulls who they have pwned since jordan left.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 02:30 PM) It's funny how you mention how hot they are considering they have a two game losing streak. They have still won seven out of their last ten.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) Prediciton... Bulls not so great on the road. Detriot solid at home. Defending champs are damn hot. Pistions will be pissed off looking to bounce back from loss at Mill. Bulls-83 Pistons-95 We keep them under 100 ( which we should) i am happy.
-
QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 01:36 PM) Yea, but you wish that on alot of people (Pierz) I definitely agree though. But I'll since his track record of hitting in the minors and his little time he had here (I really liked what I saw in him) anyday. Pierz still does need to walk more.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 01:32 PM) That spot has Valdez written all over him. True, i just wish he would learn how to take a walk.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 12:19 PM) This isn't White Sox-related whatsoever. There was no rumor that the Sox may be interested in Jeff Nelson, therefore it shouldn't be in this forum. In fact, it says that the Mets are the ones who are interested in him. How is this thread White Sox-related? Did you read the first post? Apparently not.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 12:03 PM) And guess what? This thread is in the wrong forum. It should be in "The Sports Bar". No, no it should not.

QUOTE(babybearhater @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 02:50 AM) He's not a lefty specialist, he is a long reliever, damaso and vizcaino will be concentrating on lefties. So it really doesnt matter. And I believe that you were one of the people who are willing to give garland a chance, why not cotts, who has only 2 seasons under his belt. If cotts is are long reliever i would rather have adkins up and cotts to work on his pitches in the minors. Also, i have little faith in garland improving, not a big fan of his.
-
Like i said some where else, it's not like the knicks were gonna fire wilkens. Highly doubt he goes to the knicks, even though there have been plenty of rumors. Just does not seem like a very good fit for him. Anyways, i thought he was taking the year off?
-
Cotts needs to go to the minors for a full year and work on another pitch. He can't get lefties out anyway. Vizcaino will be a better left-handed specialist than him.
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 11:57 PM) Lenny Wilkens will reportedly resign tommorrow morning. Ya, the knicks didn't plan to fire him or anything.

QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 09:37 PM) His voice is kinda annoying Along with being captain obvious and his idiotic sayings.
