  1. Jimenez is way better even though he is a prick. Guzman does not know how to take a base which equals low, guzman's obp last year was .309 :puke and career .303. Jimenez's obp was .364and his career is .352. He knows how to take some walks appparently. Also for guzman supposedly being top 10-15 in baseball stupid wise only ten syolen bases and five caught stealings in utterly ridiculous. Jimenez had 13 and is not nearly as fast, but he did get caught 7 times. Main thing guzman can do is hit triples. , thirll.
  2. Are the yankees that stupid to go after milton. he gets hit hard insanely in the national league, he gave up 43 homeruns last year. In the american league it would probally be around 60-65.
  3. They seem to really like charles thomas. He could probally slide right into the 2 hole i am thinking.
  4. Who would have honestly thought him of all people would have made an error. He is damn good defensively.
  5. Steroids are not a huge issue or anything. :rolly
  6. Have to give talent to receive talent. I know it sucks, but that is how it works.
  7. Someone with his speed should constantly steal 50,60,70 bases a year as should willie. Honestly. I agree that he has good power for a middle infielder, but his is obp is not great for a lead-off hitter it is good.
  8. He would probally stutter alot, and end up saying that are better just because. Wouldn't have any sort of real answer we all know that much. I am very surprised he didn't manage to get duke on his top 5 list. :headshake
  9. Slugging he is 16h all time. On-base % he is 11th all time. Homeruns 31st all time. Rbi's 51st all time. Bases on ball 19th all time. Ops 10th all time. Adjusted ops 13th all time. Extra base hits 37th all time. Times on base 66th all time. Sac flies 14th all time. Intentional walks 27th all time. If that is not worthy of the hall of fame i don't know what is.
  10. No he didn't. http://www.baseball-reference.com/s/simmoal01.shtml
  11. I agree, i feel this year jamison is gonna go insane. I feel 20-24 is not out of his range with a high shooting percentage.
  12. I don't believe we would be able to sign him if he was healthy. Contreras, garcia, and everret are gonna be making 19 million or so next year, which is five million more than maggs made this year. If the sox spend 14 million this year it will shock the s*** right out of me.
  13. I can understand why he said that, because it sure sounded like you were implying that.
  14. I believe it is 20 homeruns, 100 rbi's, 100 walks, and 100 runs scored. So thomas would have down that eight years in a row. Williams did it 6 times in a row.
  15. It truly is a shame that the wizards are getting the shaft. Not a doubt in my mind that they can compete at least in their divsion.
  16. When you are always described as "The best player in baseball you've never heard of.'' People have heard of you a s*** load since that is said constantly, same goes with garret anderson.
  17. I know he tried out for the USA Basketball Men's National Team Trials. I heard he was going at full force while doing so.
  18. If uribe can some how develope a better eye and he gets about 20-30 more walks a year he is a better player than furcal i feel. Uribe also needs help with his base running, and furcal is not exactly a huge threat on the base paths.
  19. I know it was your opinion i was just saying was i heard and what i have read. Every place also believes he will continue his career. Barry Larkin made it official Sunday: He is planning to come back and play in 2005. "There's a week to go in the season," he said. "I want teams to go into the offseason knowing that I plan to play." Larkin's announcement came a day after Reds chief operating officer John Allen was quoted in the Enquirer saying the club was waiting for a decision from Larkin on whether he was retiring or not before addressing Larkin's future. "When teams make their offseason plans, I don't want them to see any indecisiveness or indecision or my part," Larkin said. "I want to play. Whether that happens or not and what role I'm offered remains to be seen." While Larkin kept saying "teams," he reiterated that his first choice is to return for a 20th season with the Reds. General manager Dan O'Brien said Sunday what he's said all along: The Reds will address Larkin and their other free agents after the season. While the Reds won't comment on Larkin's future, everything they've done would seem to say he's not in their plans. They are looking at Felipe Lopez and Anderson Machado to fill the shortstop role. If the Reds don't offer Larkin a contract, he'll pursue free agency. If no other teams are interested, he'll retire. "My intention is to play," he said. "If there are no offers . . . I'll accept that." Larkin knows there's a possibility that no offers to play shortstop every day will come. He turns 41 April 28. He's been limited by injuries in recent years. He played 45 games in 2001 and 70 last year. He hasn't been on the disabled list this year but an abdominal strain and an oblique strain forced him to miss time. He said he might be willing to accept a utility role. "It depends on what that means," he said. "If I'm going to play other positions, I have to train for that in the offseason." Larkin has played all but three games in his career at shortstop. http://reds.enquirer.com/2004/09/27/red1barry.html
  20. He has said he will play next year no matter where.
