While they have pitched pretty equal now i exoect over the course of the year grilli to be alot worse. Adn that is saying something. Also i feel that if garland was suppose to be so great the cubs would have not traded him for matt karchner.

Grilli should honestly not been on this team next year. There is no need for him at all i feel. He gives up too many hits and is way to wild to put in the pen.

Lol i agree with every thing you are saying i have already said it earlier in the thread that it would not be wise to have him start a couple games this year. I mean let him go into next year with some good confidence. Also i was just letting you know that he has given up more than four runs before yesterday. Not trying to be a smartass.

Pujols because he can play multiple positions and is only 24.

6 innings and four earned runs keeps us in the games i guess but i never feel that that is agood start even for a 5th starter. I mean that equals out to a 6.00 era. By the way he gave up five earned runs over 5 innings against the angels.

According to 3EB people blow their minor league talent out of portion. But i don't know how he can think that.

Grilli has been pitching worse then garland. The only difference is that we expect alot more out of garland then grilli so that is why everyone is on garland rather than grilli. Grilli can easily have a record of 0-5,1-4, etc. But he has been really lucky with run support.

I know they would have not taken him it just sucks ass that we have borchard instead of reed. Would have rather dumped crede.

I don't think people expected much out of him when we got him. But through out his career yes he was very over-rated.

I remember when that list first came out and shaq was in the league for only 1 or 2 years and he was on it. Now that was total bulls***.

Like i said in another thread. In 42 less games reed has half the amount of hits (13) that borchard has (26). But oh ya i forgot reed is yet to hit a 504 foot homerun.

If he never had his three really bad outings his era would be in the low 3's actually probally in the 2's. So that shows how good he was outside of those the bad outings.

How the hell was he not a star? He was always always mentioned in the 90's.

I am not saying whatsoever that he does not have any trade value because right now he has a s*** load. Just saying would like to see him get hot and add just a wee bit more value. I basically wrote last year off for him and to me he is about a .290 hitter hitter in his career with the white sox compared to about .277-.279 he really is with the terrible season last year.

Why do you not think he was? Best role player ever. You ever see some people's numbers that are in the basketball hall of fame? He would put some of those players to shame.

So he had two quality start and five terrible ones that is not good. But my point is just let him stay the rest of the year in the pen so that he will have something to build on in the off-season. I also think hhe can be a pretty good fourth or fifth starter. Hell probally a three in the national league.

I don't really think you can disagree with what he said i mean the fact is he has been terrible starting and excellent in the bull-pen.

Proving just a little bit more everyday whoever doubts that he can be a starter in the major leagues.

If he can some how end the season with an average of .290 with an obp of .365-.370. Oh damn that would be insane trade bait.

That would be sweet.

If they want to contend for the playoffs some how it cannot be with any of those three guys starting.
