  1. Oh ya victor martinez is not either. I remember discussing this earlier in the year.

I know and that is the sad sad thing. He sucks and we need to move on i don't think it is worth holding on to him for 2-3 more years waiting for his adrian beltre type season and have him leave to free agency anyway. I would rather have someone like koskie, hillenbrand, mueller for the next couple years while we are waiting for fields.
  3. Lew ford is eligble i think.

Would you consider uribe an upgrade over crede or valentin?

Which is not exactly good. Decent at best.

That the team or player is just not very good.
  10. Exactly not the point at all.

If they don't try really f***ing hard to get a new third baseman i will be so pissed. Cruddy sucks ass.
  12. No. Most likely a rhetorical question.
  13. Alright, thank you. I just feel anyone who thinks sosa was on steroids has to think bonds has or still does. Their builds were basically identically when coming up and in their early years. I know barry has not worn down but i truly feel he has just kept his body in fantastic shape. Which is the reason he still looks as big as ever. Just my humble opinion.
  14. Pitchers lose several miles an hour every year always have always will. All i have to ask you is can you honestly say that you think bonds has never ever even once been on steroids?
  15. No i have never thought of that because he took steroids and everyone knows it. Is their a need to try to deny it for him? He may or may not still be on steroids even if he isn't it will still be easy for him to maintain his build. Also why would you think he was on steroids last year? He has always been able to hit 94-95. Most pitchers start really young when that take them.
  16. It is easy to have a good eye when they pitch around you constantly beause of the steroids.
  17. He most likely conditioned himself much better than them. Have you ever seen pictures of him when he was a lead-off hitter for the pirates? You don't look like that and turn into the monster he is now from no drugs.
  18. He was a very good hitter before steroids. But now i have no respect for hit whatsoever.

How can he close he can't through strikes. Might as well have stephen randolph close.
  20. If matt morris can regain some velocity he is an ace other than that there are some number two starters out there.
  21. If you need bullpen help i don't think matt karchner is the guy you go to. I mean he was decent but nothing to write home about.
  22. Not saying you did say that, just stating a fact.
  23. Still makes no sense don't care how much you need bullpen help that you would trade a supposed ''next big thing''. Also willis was not really highly touted when the cubs traded him.
  24. We would just like him to finish the year in the bullpen to have some confidence going into next year. Because if he started to games in the last two weeks of the season and got rocked both times it would be like the pat few weeks never happened.
  25. While they have pitched pretty equal now i exoect over the course of the year grilli to be alot worse. Adn that is saying something. Also i feel that if garland was suppose to be so great the cubs would have not traded him for matt karchner.
