I would much rather go for a starter with a little lesser talent that is 2-4 million dollars less per year. But is capable of putting up excellent numbers. Because we could then you that additional money else where.

I agree but in his case it will not matter a whole lot because he has very good control and does not get hit hard at all. If he was a mediocore pitcher it would matter but he is not.

I could care less how fast he throws as long as he can still prove he knows how to get outs. Which this year in 47 innings he has 43 strikeouts which is not bad at all. His whip stands at 1 with and era of 2.68. He has saved 35 of of 39 chances. He is not past his prime, not at all. He is also less of a risk than wagner or urbina because he will cost much less.

Wagner expect s6-8 million a year and we will not give him that much. Hoffman on the other hand will cost alot less.

Lol o.k. when there is proof that he is a special player i will agree with you. I mean about 75%-80% of pitchers you face are righty and if he can't hit them at least decent he will be nothing more that a .250-.260 hitter.

Marlins no doubt. My reason is they are basically the definition of fundamental baseball.

He cannot hit righties, call a game very well or throw out base stealers. While he may give his all day in day out it is not translating into much success.

I liked him as much as the next guy but after i thought about it he is nothing special. He may be one day just not now.

I have said several times that lee is one of the dumbest players in the game. But i continue to like him. Also we did not give up pudge junior, not even close.

I don't know about past years but he has got caught stealing quite a few times this year. If he usually gets caught this often he needs to either vastly improve or stop running.
