  1. Already been posted a couple times.
  2. Because we can face the fact that the sox are not going to the play-offs yet again we are not loyal fans. If you say so.
  3. He is has been terrible the last three years. I don't see that changing any time soon.
  4. Thing with politte is he is great for three weeks the has 3 terrible outing out of his next three. He is perfect for the seventh inning but there is no way in hell he can be are right-handed set-up man next year.
  5. King, Marquis, Wainright. http://www.contractbud.com/?article=apc_2003dec&sidepanel=y
  6. Delgado and sexson are the only good ones on free agency. My point is just makes no sense for a team to give up a solid short stop and a future closer for a player with only one year remaining on his contract. Or any kind of deal like that.
  7. The gm's who did those trades should honestly be slapped around for stupidty especially the sexson trade. No way we get some sort of furcal, cruz deal for konerko. Ever.
  8. What? Won't hurt damon's value as much as konerko's because it is harder to find lead-off hitters rather then slow first baseman that bash the ball
  9. One reason why konerko value will not be as high is because he only has one year left on his contract. We won't be getting any players that are 1 or 2 years into their first contract for him.
  10. Imo baldelli will be the last of gathright, huff, and crawford because he has the potential to be a three hole hitter and is extremely young.
  11. All i know is i wish the sox could play like the marlins or the twins. They play baseball like it is suppose to be played. Fundamentally speaking.
  12. Yes, in one full years time he can ver easily regain his lost velocity. If he doesn't he may just become a better pitcher from it.
  13. He had a 3.18 era in the a.l. last year and 3.56 in the n.l. But he can't pitch american league batters well at all. :rolly
  14. He is very not good. His obp is digusting at .316. His career obp is just .304. :puke I really don't seem him breaking out any time soon but who knows.
  15. He is a closer which 9-10 means that he can close in both the a.l. or n.l. Even he he can't close he will still be solid. Your gonna base this year on three starts? Makes no sense. Ss2k4 makes more sense when saying having another side armer would not be wise.
  16. You are correct 2006 is his option year. This site is also very good with contracts. http://home.earthlink.net/~pdave/id2.html
  17. Career 3.33 era 1.17 whip and .206 baa would never help us. :rolly
  18. Konerko for damon and willamson does not sound impossible. Might be worth it for the red sox because they do not knopw how he will be coming off of surgery. Edit. Oops willamson is a free agent. Maybe byung-hyun kim?
  19. 1 New York Yankees $184,193,950 2 Boston Red Sox $127,298,500 3 Anaheim Angels $100,534,667 4 New York Mets $96,660,970 5 Philadelphia Phillies $93,219,167 6 Los Angeles Dodgers $92,902,001 7 Chicago Cubs $90,560,000 8 Atlanta Braves $90,182,500 9 St. Louis Cardinals $83,228,333 10 San Francisco Giants $82,019,166 11 Seattle Mariners $81,515,834 12 Houston Astros $75,397,000 13 Arizona Diamondbacks $69,780,750 14 Colorado Rockies $65,445,167 15 Chicago White Sox $65,212,500 16 Oakland Athletics $59,425,667 17 San Diego Padres $55,384,833 18 Texas Rangers $55,050,417 19 Minnesota Twins $53,585,000 20 Baltimore Orioles $51,623,333 21 Toronto Blue Jays $50,017,000 22 Kansas City Royals $47,609,000 23 Detroit Tigers $46,832,000 24 Cincinnati Reds $46,615,250 25 Florida Marlins $42,143,042 26 Montreal Expos $41,197,500 27 Cleveland Indians $34,319,300 28 Pittsburgh Pirates $32,227,929 29 Tampa Bay Devil Rays $29,556,667 30 Milwaukee Brewers $27,528,500
  20. I will try to find the stats in while but how can you possibly say pierre is not their number 1 or 2 most valuable player. It all starts with him. Also i may watch have of their games since most of their games are on at the same time as the sox.
  21. I was speaking of the twins and rangers since you said they do not have very good obp. I know this because i watch many of their games on mlb extra innings. The red sox and a's are good because of there obp and pretty good situational hitting. The twins stolen base % is at 72%. Like you said its not great but the point is that they attempt so many stolen bases it puts alot of pressure on opposing pitchers every single time someone is on base, outside of lecroy.
