  1. I want this guy back next year. The truth is, the Sox have to go all the way this year before we see some of the guys go in the off season. Go all the way in 2004 and I’m sure us fans will appreciate all you have done. Because we truly have a good offensive lineup and a good pitching staff, but now that you guys mention that Valentin or Esteban may leave, we may not have such a good year next year. So I say the Sox go for it before its too late.
  2. Nice sig CubsSuck1. Oh yeah... your sig is cool too, MSF
  3. The guy kind of showed emotion after Sunday’s game. He was talking about how his players weren’t running the bases right, they tried to come back, but it didn’t work. Hello!! You were playing the White Sox, not the A’s. BTW, if St. Louis gets a W today, the Cubs will be 6 games behind. Ouch.
  4. Here's a little something of what I read every morning in my morning newspaper. It just shows that people are starting to see the Sox as a playoff team. Brian C. Hedger / Times Columnist
  5. Okay... so if Rauch does stick in the SP position, than he’ll have to start against the Cubs. This is how I see it. Buehrle (Tuesday) Garcia (Wednesday) Garland (Thursday) Rauch or Diaz (Friday)
  6. There’s an ESPN Classic? Because I only have ESPN and ESPN 2 :puke
  7. Honestly, I think Ron Santo is annoying as hell. He only talks when the Cubs are winning. His voice and his Cubbie pride is what gets me annoyed (and mostly that commercial with him and his car). If the guy can’t stand to see the Cubs lose to good teams, than he should retire before he has a damn heart attack. “ GOSH! I can’t take this anymore....” “What!? What are they doing? Jeez....”
  8. I have no problems with Sandy. His average is in the positive side (.278) but he needs to get a little more RBI’s when there’s RISP. So far he has 11 RBI’s and just 1 HR. When was the last time we saw him hit one out of the ballpark? Opening Day in Kansas? We look at last year and Sandy had 194 at bats. He scored 22 runs, had 52 hits, 5 HR, and 26 RBI (which is what Olivo has at the moment). If this guy can get at least 30-40 RBI’s this year, than the catcher will do okay. Though I’d like for him to hit some HR’s So far this season: 97 at bats, 13 runs, 27 hits, 1 HR, and 11 RBI’s. The more offense we have in our starting lineup, the more damage the Sox will do. Anyone think Sandy should try to improve or is he doing all right at the moment?
  9. Same with me. I’ll just probably wait till the film is out on dvd.
  10. No s***.... your season has been over a long time ago. Good luck though
  11. Make sure to vote in the pole. Question: With Freddy Garcia, will the White Sox win the AL Central? Yes? No? It seems like a lot of Cub fans (or Yankee fans) have voted ‘No’ since 51% voted for No.
  12. ESPN has Freddy Garcia in the front page wearing black and white with the SOX logo in the background. It seems like everyone is talking about this trade Click Me
  13. Jeckle will never visit this thread (even though he started it) since there’s so many posts for him to read in one single day. The poor kid must have been crying because of all the arguments.
  14. The young man homered in his final game with the White Sox. That kid has a very bright future. And he won’t forget that it all started here in the south side of Chicago.
  15. Damn... I was just about to post the same exact thing. I read the whole article and it really brought a tear to my eye. Olivo is a crazy man. Honestly, what brought the waterworks in me was Loaiza’s statement about Olivo and him being like brothers I remember seeing Miguel wearing a big Mexican hat that had Mexico written on it last year when Loaiza got his 21st victory. Great, great memories.
  16. Jeckle’s a kid. He has no idea what he’s saying :headshake
  17. I have a feeling that we will make it to the playoffs and make it to round 2. As long as the guys take care of themselves (stay away from the DL) than we’ll easily win 80-90 games this year. Ozzie Guillen has fate in these kids and so do I. Go Sox!
  18. Whether he pitches on Wednesday or Thursday, I wish him the best of luck.
