  1. He can also play 2nd, which would leave Harris expendable.
  2. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) Careful ... you'll end up taking my crown as the King of Crabby. I'll just be the Earl of Crabby.
  3. Sorry Casey, can't hear you from 15 games up. b****.
  4. Are you kidding me? Are we talking about Little Leaguers? No, these are grown men. Making millions of dollars to play a game. And some of you are worried about how Uribe or Dye feel? None of us know how anyone on the team feels. Uribe may have been pissed, but instead of ripping Pauly, maybe we can put a positive spin on it and think that if Uribe IS pissed, that he talked to Pauly and they worked it out. Dye on the other hand has been in this league too long to care what a Paul Konerko says to the media ONCE. These guys really only get pissed because of two things, something that is blatantly wrong that is repeated constantly and personal attacks. I can't imagine a one time thing isn't going to get anyone's panties in a bunch. Let's drop it and enjoy the first sweep of the Indians in Cleveland in 42 years.
  5. QUOTE(rangercal @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 07:47 PM) I'm having the same problem scrolling down, so it's not just you. They have drugs for that now, ranger...
  6. QUOTE(kman @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 08:45 PM) Has anyone on this board gone to a sox game alone or goes to them alone all the time? Just curious, cause it is hard sometimes to find people to go everytime you want to go. So lets hear it. I haven't been to a Sox game alone, but I did go to a Rangers game alone and would have gone to a Mets game alone if it didn't get rained out.
  7. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 08:53 PM) Aahahahahaha. That was a good 1. 1's your last name.
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) Fine, then what's my 1st name mom????? Sox...duh.
  9. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 08:46 PM) No way in hell I can go alone at 15 but once I get a job/license, I will when I want... "SoxFan1!!! This is your mother. I think I might have something to say about that."
  10. I know we are talking about Dealin' Kenny here, but I can't imagine him tearing up the roster that much to get Burnett or Wagner. I'm guessing somewhere along the lines of Moyer and Guardado...or maybe one of their younger pitchers like Meche or Franklin and Guardado. I think we are talking about one fell swoop. Plus we could get a Willie Bloomquist or Speizio as a throw in super utility.
  11. Scouting Tom Glavine could be a smokescreen too. Send out scouts to a good chunk of "available" players and you don't know which one they are truly scouting. I don't think Glavine is what this team needs or wants. Burnett or Lilly are close to what this team wants...a young good arm that is possibly resignable or locked up for another year or two. We've also gotten off the Edgardo Alfonso bandwagon. From the Giants website: He isn't completely healthy, but the Giants have Feliz at 3rd. And Fonz can play 2nd, too.
  12. Maybe you're just slowing down to watch it?
  13. I hope he and Toni Kukoc can mend their broken fences now.
  14. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) if he can do some decent recruiting we'll be right back in this thing soon. Next year won't be too shabby either. The key is Sherron Collins. If he can get this kid (Thanks Ozzie) then I'll believe he can recruit.
  15. Just some thoughts, don't know how available they are: David Bell - Philly Ryan Freel - Cincy Eric Hinske - Toronto Mike Lamb - Houston David Bell can play some second. Freel can play 2nd, 3rd and OF Hinske and Lamb can play 1st and 3rd.
  16. Have you met AnthraxFan93 yet?
  17. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 02:52 PM) I was thinking the same thing. If there was ever a time for Randa, it's now. I don't think KW is going to bring in Randa because of this. He will check out Crede and see how the cortisone shots are working (I believe you can only have 3 a season, supposedly) and if he's swinging alright. If not, I'm sensing one of those waiver deals after the trade deadline. Don't know who, but that's my pseudo-GM guess.
  18. Just saw this on the ESPN Rumor Mill about Javier Vazquez (no link included cuz it's on Insider). Could a three way deal be in the works?
  19. For someone who is worried about team chemistry, this trade is pretty big. I don't buy it. But, one never knows.
  20. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 10:20 PM) Yeah I don't buy the aforementioned deal because the Marlins aren't going to want prospects for the most part. I do feel that Lowell for Crede makes some sense on both sides but he does pull in some coin. What if the Marlins picked up half of Lowell's contract? That might not be a bad trade. Then we would def. have to deal BMac.
  21. QUOTE(JimH @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 10:11 PM) They signed a 5th starter ... check. They signed Iguchi ... check. They signed AJ Pierzynski and later Chris Widger ... check They signed Hermanson ... check. They signed Jermaine Dye ... check. Wow, once in a while I AM right. Nice to know I didn't totally freak out on Novemberquickman30th. We need a back-patting smilie for Jim.
  22. QUOTE(Fotop @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) That is a large concern, seeing as everyone is always looking for more pitching. As much as everyone is tossing around the Jays and the Orioles, I'm most worried about the red sox in this situation. They defintely have some minor leaguers that are attractive to prospective trade partners and they have the deep pockets as well. Plus, with Schilling going to the pen they're going to need a starter...BAD. Yankees just put their most consistent starter, Wang, on the DL. It's shoulder inflammation, which could mean everything, but they are always a wild card in things like this. They just don't have many pieces...the thing is, it really hasn't stopped them before.
