  1. Completely unorthodox but I'd consider pinch running for Napoli
  2. Rita, Rice and Marist all lose first round while the Cubs are in the world series. Good chance Western Avenue burns down tonight.
  3. Made my biggest profit betting ever tonight on sports. +190 for a world series team is bats*** insane. This is one of the few times ever the idiot public can overcome what the book takes vs a bet
  4. Follow Indians Ump and Cubs Ump on twitter. So far literally every call has gone against the Indians. And of course vice versa for the Cubs.
  5. Don't think I've ever seen a o/u of 10 in baseball but I do think over is play tonight. That said don't think wind affects Hendricks too much.
  6. Isiah Thomas trying to get chippy with rondo on 3 different occasions so far. I'm pretty sure Rondo was gone by the time Thomas showed up, but seems to be something personal there. Or it's just Rondo.
  7. Bauer looks awful. Wide strike zone and he's still behind every count.
  8. Wonder if Cubs fans will realize they still have to win another series
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 04:23 PM) I mean he looked in awful shape at Mania afterall. I thought he looked good? Austin not so much. AJ vs HBK would be the two greatest in-ring performers ever facing off. No way could it live up to the hype tbh.
  10. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 01:10 PM) The only thing with Buck is sometimes I find his manner of announcing dispassionate. Really big triumphant moments are just met same as any other. "And the white sox have won the world series" Buck is awful
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 11:10 AM) On Tuesday, the Blue Jays ensured life for another day as they took Game 4 of the ALCS against the Indians and cut their series deficit to 3-1. Out in L.A., the Dodgers suffocated Cubs bats yet again in Game 3 and now lead the NLCS by a count of two games to one. That means it's time for a reset of our LCS and World Series odds. Per SportsLine, here are each playoff team's updated chances to win the LCS and World Series, sorted by World Series championship chances: Team Win LCS Win WS Los Angeles Dodgers 70.4% 40.9% Cleveland Indians 86.6% 36.4% Chicago Cubs 29.6% 17.0% Toronto Blue Jays 13.4% 5.7% Needless to say, the Dodgers' win in Game 3 over the Cubs was a critical one, as it drastically improved their postseason outlook. As for Wednesday's slate, all four teams will be in action, and the Blue Jays are once again one game from elimination. Likewise, though, they're one game from sending the series back to Cleveland. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/mlb-play...ilities-101916/ All I'm reading is an 83% chance the Cubs don't win the World Series
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 10:54 PM) I guarantee Kenley goes 2 innings tomorrow if games is close. Agreed. And gell pitch game 5 if it's close, and they're up 3-1 with a lead.
  13. Andrew Miller threw 5 innings those first 3 games, 9 innings this postseason and was available today I believe. I don't see them treating Jansen much different.
  14. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 10:21 PM) Why bring back Jansen with a 6 run lead? Would be nice to have him available for both games 4 and 5 if needed. I'm sure he will be
  15. Also not a good postseason for Montgomery. They need a long man man for a quick pull on Lackey. He's usually it. Do they have someone else?
  16. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 10:00 PM) Was hoping Jansen wouldn't have to be used today. They'll freely abuse his arm this series until it falls off.
  17. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 09:55 PM) It's my favorite part of the postseason I honestly hate it at this point. It's like "woe is us, we deserve the world series. We have to be the center of attention no matter what". Focus on the winning team fox.
  18. QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 09:29 PM) Something is wronggg with Jake, no way he is an Ace. Stricter testing?
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 18, 2016 -> 09:17 PM) Now it makes the decision with going Maeda or Kershaw for Game 5 even more interesting...it feels like you have to go for the jugular with Kershaw, but the Cubs win that game and the Dodgers are back in trouble. That said, Hill is a nice back-up option to have behind Clayton. This also takes a ton of pressure off Urias, and puts it squarely on the Cubs' LH hitters in a nearly must-win Game 4. You pitch him 5 so you have him for 7 too.
  20. That smackdown main event was fireeeeeee. Most entertained I've been in a long while
