  1. Feel like that sucks for him. Usually be happy you get drafted here, but with how the Sox have handled Smith (and they seem to like him a lot), I don't see it being a good thing for his career.
  2. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 09:12 AM) How many rounds are in the MLB phase? Unlimited I would assume.
  3. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 09:07 AM) White Sox pass. Lammmmme
  4. Blash goes 3. So he's off the board as expected. Nvm twitter jumped the gun!
  5. I still think with the risk of Micah being moved you go utility IF, unless Blash is there.
  6. Don't really see how Hoiberg is "fine". The offense is just pitiful now with the same roster, and that's compared to Thibs, who wasn't exactly an offensive mastermind himself. The roster is flawed, but it's always been that way.
  7. Episode 1 just got put up. Stealth release I guess
  8. QUOTE (beautox @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 10:35 PM) no, we couldn't have. Oakland was ahead of us on the wire. He mentioned trading for him before that, fwiw.
  9. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 10:17 PM) I'm one of those typically negative posters here and I'll say this: I'm happy with Hahn and this move! The package was nowhere near what I would have expected. I'm glad to have Lawrie and am very excited bow for whats forthcoming Even when we trade the farm for Frazier?
  10. Rumor is they're already on the phone with Olt
  11. Not a big deal at all, but Fulmer now the only top 4 pick from last year in our organization. Paper thin draft got even thinner for us, but it's certainly worth it here.
  12. This is the best thing the Peavy trade has given us yet.
  13. QUOTE (Dunt @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 08:02 PM) Now it's sounding like its Lawrie... Thank god I have a surplus of houses after betting with greg
  14. Oakland’s proposed trade with the White Sox was on hold on Wednesday as other teams tried to jump in on the action. In the end, though, infielder Brett Lawrie is still likely to go to Chicago in exchange for minor-leaguers. The framework of a deal between the teams is believed to be in place, but the White Sox were exploring other options, too, including Reds third baseman Todd Frazier. And in the meantime, at least one other American League club began discussing Lawrie again internally. Slusser posted that first
  15. Agreed. We're getting Frazier and we're getting him tonight. Write that in stone.
  16. The best utility infielder tandem is back together again!
  17. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 07:20 PM) It is when you think about the money some of the other hitters are getting. Don't think any real insane money has been thrown around hitters. Will likely change soon, but still.
  18. Hope everyone is tuned into the ESPN broadcast. Just unbelievable, lol
  19. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 06:15 PM) Last day of the meetings is tomorrow, correct? If so, is there usually any action on the last day? It's usually just pack your bags, do the rule 5 and go home.
  20. QUOTE (bighurt574 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 04:58 PM) Pretty big "snag" if the teams can't agree on the prospects. Isn't that the entire trade? Doesn't sound like a deal is all that close, really. Subscribe to my theory that the original story was a plant.
  21. QUOTE (raBBit @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 04:10 PM) This is false. I don't disagree that they're talking or whatever, just the words she used to say how far they are. No one else wanted to go that far and her own words don't even back it up. "Not untypical for Sox" is the plantiest of plant reporting that ever did plant.
