  1. You have to kidding me. This is a joke right?
  2. Before anyone freaks out, there will be more moves a coming.
  3. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 1, 2015 -> 01:47 PM) Steroids were not even banned during Thomas's time. ANd frankly, even if they were, to pretty much everyone not making cheap points, purposely throwing a game is a completely different level than taking performance enhancers. There is a huge difference when you are changing the game so that the result is fixed. They were banned for essentially the entirety of Thomas' career. They probably had a bigger impact on the game than throwing games ever did.
  4. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 1, 2015 -> 01:00 PM) As he should have. We are talking about the validity of a sport being overturned, if this happened in modern day, I'd expect banning from the sport to be the least of the concern. If baseball didn't come down hard on this, who knows if it's popularity would have continued in the modern eras. Could have ended up like horseracing. The need to boot Thomas out of the hall next for not naming names.
  5. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 1, 2015 -> 11:40 AM) Me too. I find it funny when a fan today gets emotional about Joe Jackson or Buck Weaver. Gambling was rampant before 1920. They finally did something about it after the 1919 World Series. That was the final straw, and the game has been better for it since. Most of the evidence points to Jackson being innocent. He was a victim of the other 7 idiots using his name with the gamblers since he was the leagues star player at the time. No one disputes the black sox took money and threw the series. Jackson however did not. The White Sox are pretty short on historically great players, so it'd be great to see one of the few actually honored.
  6. I didn't mind raw but yeah crowd was brutal
  7. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 31, 2015 -> 01:36 PM) The one with the tattoos that posted nudes? I've never seen her on tv outside of takeover Brooklyn sitting next to Seth. She's pretty sexy. Yeah her. She made her first nxt appearance this past weekend. She posted a bunch of nazi s*** to her social media back in 2012 and they just now found it. Seth, you need to stop dating for awhile. Wonder if he'll be punished for this. Also, hopefully not related but there was just a shooting at the wwe nxt training center.
  8. Seth Rollins GF fired for being a nazi.
  9. See no reason not to make the locker room crowded when MiLB finishes up Pitchers: Scott Carroll Erik Johnson Chris Beck/Junior Guerra Frankie Montas Putnam/Webb Position players: Rob Brantly Micah Johnson Leury Garcia
  10. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 31, 2015 -> 08:23 AM) Wow... this is surprising. Don't think it's surprising in the least bit. And unless they put together a killer package no way we let him go. Not much to see here unless we hear sox are open to neogtiaions.
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Aug 30, 2015 -> 11:48 PM) Yep, while there are no guarantees you have a much better chance of getting an impact player picking in the top 5 than in the 10-15 range. And winning games like this wouldn't bother me much if we were breaking in a lot of young talent but that just isn't the case. Our rookies got a third of the at bats yesterday so yeah we are breaking in some young talent. I've rooted for the draft pick the last couple years but at this point it's more important we get positive indicators out of our rookies and know our situation better going forward.
  12. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Aug 30, 2015 -> 09:19 PM) Where are they going to play Micah? Will he have the courage to use him at DH? Ideally full time at 2b to get him reps while we get a look at Sanchez at SS. Realistically there's no chance of that happening because reasons.
  13. Yeahhhh buddy Too bad for the ump. He wanted to go home early.
  14. Haha still trying to bunt with alexei. Great job robin
  15. That guy also looked out at the park.
  16. Looked out at the park.
  17. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 29, 2015 -> 07:39 PM) Why are people bidding over $400 for a Dan Jennings gift basket? Next to it right now. Jose abreu autograph, Chris sale as well, about 20 other things. His might be worth it.
  18. QUOTE (harkness @ Aug 29, 2015 -> 07:36 PM) Chuck is a nice guy.. But all those people earlier this year praising his skill.. I'm not sure what you are smoking but its some good stuff. He's terrible. He knows it too so it's fine. Asks way too many questions.
  19. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 29, 2015 -> 05:51 PM) Greg you cannot be this freaking obtuse. Eh what he said has a lot of truth to it. Although I certainly wouldn't say it's a definite they're not winning.
  20. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Aug 29, 2015 -> 05:21 PM) The fascination with Davidson is bizarre. He would get murdered at the major league level. Seriously. No reason to call him up. Getting Saladino mlb at bats is much more important since he can actually be apart of the future, even if on the bench.
