  1. I need the greatest baseball picture ever from a few STs ago...of A-Row.
  2. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 22, 2009 -> 03:03 PM) Saw Taken last night and was thoroughly entertained. Yeah most of it was implausible and there were some corny scenes, especially everything leading up to the trip to Paris, but it was fun. I'm also surprised at PG-13 ratings given to movies like this and Dark Knight. They were both ultra violent and I couldn't help but think what the heck did it need to get an R rating? I guess if they showed a boob it would have gotten the R but having 40 people savagely killed or injured is fine. A sad commentary on society today that violence is so easily accepted. I thought the same. Fun movie even if there seemed to be plot holes galore.
  3. Street Fighter 4 is pretty sweet.
  4. Tropic Thunder was awesome. Taken was fun.
  5. Ugh, I lost my wallet last night. I feel like I don't even know who I am.
  6. Friday's have very underrated boneless wings. Well actually they have an all around awesome, underrated menu.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 19, 2009 -> 05:54 PM) They blame the refs, win or lose. Another staple of Weber is always claiming someone was sick/injured after a loss. Last night, he was saying McCamey was throwing up at halftime. If a guy is sick or injured, then don't play him! The Illini have to be one of the luckiest teams, with regards to health, all year in the NCAA. Not many other teams can start the same lineup in 25 consecutive games. I already said we deserved to lose 100 times over last night. Just stop. And McCamey did throw up at half time, though you're right in that it's Bruce's fault for playing him.
  8. Best games I was at: 1. ALDS Game 1- Beating of the Red Sox. Stadium was never louder than it was for this game 2. ALCS Game 2- Who can forget this one? 3. WS Game 1- Too awesome 4. Buehrle's No No 5. 2008 ALCS Game 3 Also been to Carlos Lee's walk-off granny against the Cubs, the AJP/Barret fight, Opening Day 2006, CQ's national coming out party against the Angels, Jose's cycle, and various other walk-offs probably most notably JD's against the Angels. I can't even remember if that game was in 2005 or 06. I'm guessing 05 since it is remember so fondly when compared to other walk-off HRs.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 19, 2009 -> 04:55 AM) It's amazing how Weber has such a pristine image among Illini fans when he's as guilty of the same crap that he complains about other coaches doing. Like what?
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 19, 2009 -> 03:37 AM) Illinois is one of the 5 worst teams in the country at getting to the FT line. When you have guards like Frazier and Meacham, that's going to happen. Yes, but it wasn't for lack of effort tonight.
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 19, 2009 -> 03:29 AM) It was very bad, but nothing out of the ordinary for the Big 10. The refs even themselves out in the league over the course of the season, but I really think part of the Big 10's problem is the refs don't call fouls, and when they do, they call them poorly. If the Big 10 were to get refs who called the games tighter and better, they would have much more scoring, which would help in recruiting and in March IMO. I agree on the perspective on the whole, but tonight was especially bad. 0 FTs on 50 shots against a pretty physical PSU team? On 6 fouls on the whole? Granted, we are not the most dynamic team, but still.
  12. Don't get me wrong, Illinois deserved to lose 100 times over tonight, but I think tonight's game may have been the single worst officiated game I've ever seen.
  13. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Feb 18, 2009 -> 04:19 AM) Hottest wings I've ever had is from Wings Etc. Oh yeah, definitely. Wall kills your mouth.
  14. I literally get withdrawel from not having wings. Best place ever is Wings Etc.
  15. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Feb 16, 2009 -> 02:50 AM) He struck out 20 against the Reds, not the White Sox. He did strike us out 19 times.
  16. It's too bad DePaul joined the Big East. If they had chosen to go to the ACC. They'd be champions this year, at leas according to Terrance Williams: "Q: Where do you stand on the debate about which conference--the Big East or ACC--is college basketball's best? A: The Big East. I don't know how you could even ask that. That's easy. That's not even a question. Q: Why is that? A: Look how physical we are. The ACC, that's not physical. Our last-place team in the Big East could win in the ACC. We're the toughest conference. Q: What's the best team you've faced this season? A: That's easy, Connecticut. We lost to them."
  17. Well, now they are saying it wasn't him. The guy ended up killing himself.
  18. It's been going on for a few hours so most have cut-out. Here: http://media.myfoxla.com/live/2/ He led them on a massive high speed chase and it was announced a celebrity wanted for assault on his girlfriend was the one fleeing. Now he has stopped and has a gone to his head. Never seen more cop cars in my life, wow.
  19. So DJ Khaled, not Chris Brown, is threatening suicide on live tv. Turn on your news stations.
  20. I'll take a few punches to the face over herpes.
