QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 05:10 PM) Hawk always says how Javy can pitch 150, blah, blah, etc... today they might have to test that And he's right. Javy is one of the few out there you don't have to worry about the pitch count with.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 04:18 PM) i get the feeling TCQ might be hurt worse than I thought. I just get the feeling Ozzie is way over protective of him to the point that he will sit him out during the pennant chase.

QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 01:51 AM) This year feels like 2003 all over again with Maggs, Thomas, Lee, Konerko, Everett, Crede, Alomar and they going into the Twinkie dome and get SWEPT! That team should have walked away with a World Series trophy with no competition. We're not nearly as good, but this is the type of play I remember from that team down the stretch.

QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 01:44 AM) Just checking in here guys... Am I the only one here who is OUTRAGED that Owens was not taken out in the 6th? Not only that Ozzie pulls Dotel after he gets two men out, and then suddenly wants to play the matchup game with Boone Logan who cant hit the strike zone!!!! Then Ozzie lets the game go by keeping Logan in!!! What the HEL! is going on? WHAT THE F IS WRONG WITH OZZIE? Yeah, you are the only one saying such blasphemy. Just kidding. Ozzie has been maybe his worst ever tonight, and that is saying something.

What a terribly managed game.

Not in the least bit, no.

Wiki says he caught passes from Kyle Boller in high school.

Speaking of good KW signings..

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 12:57 AM) We've had a lot of good signings though. I just found it odd that you decided to randomly lump that one in there. Gooch was good, but IMO not even in the same ballpark Not counting extentions, we really haven't had all too many FA in the KW era. There's been a bunch of relievers but not all too much more. Gooch would certainly rank with the best of them.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 12:55 AM) Jerry Owens has to be the weakest 6'3" hitter in the game. His inability to generate ANY strength with that frame disturbing. Not to mention he looks pretty athletic. Why no one has shown him to the weight room is beyond me.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 1, 2008 -> 04:04 AM) Soxtalk gives me warnings from Norton sometimes, out of the blue, it never means anything though. These were coming directly from Mozilla though, not from any virus protection. -
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 17, 2008 -> 09:30 PM) Best actors of the main five (IMO): Jerry Ferrara Kevin Dillon Jeremy Piven Kevin Connolly Adrian Grenier (the "actor" on the show has the least amount of talent, which i find hilarious) And super pumped for this season, it's been too long since we've seen a new episode. Are we talking about actual acting ability? Because I'm pretty sure Connolly is the only one there with an actual talent range, though Piven is great in any comedic role. If we're talking about favorite characters, then I like that list.

ECU/VT incredible game thus far. -
Wow, I hate you. I saw this thread last night, so I assume the Twins won. When on BBTN they showed the Twins highlights are coming up, he said the Twins lost. I'm like, no they didn't, I just checked the score. We got into a big argument and then it came down to a bet. I lost one dollar, but also my dignity. I don't like you any more stretch, and you owe me a dollar.

One animal started to develop the "wings" during a period of hot weather in Sichuan, a large province in southern China where a devastating earthquake struck this spring. Although the growths appear fluffy, they contain bone. But veterinary experts say that despite the hard inner core, the flaps do not harm the cat's quality of life or safety. Several animals were photographed with the furry protuberances by a local newspaper photographer. "At first they were just two bumps, but they started to grow quickly, and after a month there were two wings," said one cat's owner, who was only identified as Feng. "Many female cats in heat came to harass him, and then the wings started to grow," she told the local Huashang News. Although Feng attributed her pet's condition to the stress of a feline love life and the hot Sichuan summer. However, scientists said the wings had a less romantic explanation. In fact, the hairy growths probably developed because of unusual grooming habits, a genetic defect or a hereditary skin condition. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics...grow-wings.html Red Bull really does work.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 01:22 AM) One particular anti-fan and his nonsense and the endless trolls trashing the board were the reasons I found myself here. God, what was that guy's name? I know exactly who you are talking about and I'm pretty sure all the ESPN guys will too. I remember BoogAlou, but I can't remember if he was the poster in question or not. That and the format change(ugh, that completely destroyed the board, everyone was gone after that) were my reasons for the move.

Just let your soul gloooooooow, curl lookin boy.

ESPN boards back in the day were win. I know a lot of the first posters here came from there, and I eventually made the switch too once those boards became beyond awful. But really, they used to be great.

I'm not seeing the long list of MVP candidates that you are. The list I see is just Quentin, Hamilton and I'd include Monreau especially if the Twins win it. But really if the White Sox win, it shouldn't be a question, though he should make sure to keep his average >.290.

Yeah I'm drunk on a school night, what are you going to do about it?
