Brawl is pretty good so far: - I hate how slow it play in comparison to Melee but I'm sure I'll get used to it. It takes forever to kill someone now. - Not sure I've seen so much content in one game before. - I've only opened a few characters so far, but from what I can tell, Marth is by far the best character in the game. - Not too fond of the Wiimote controls. GCN controller is a must IMO(And you don't need a converter to the one who asked above). - Went to a midnight tournament last night. Made it to the second round. They made you use Wiimote controls so no one had any idea what they were doing. If anyone wants to play online, feel free to post your Wii friend code amd I'll add you.

95% of the time FPSs are going to be better on the PC, but CoD4 and UT3 are exceptions IMO.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 7, 2008 -> 08:09 AM) Diamond Taylor from St. Joes in Chicago commits to Wisconsin. Very solid player and recruit for Wisconsin. Might set them up as a leader for DeAndre McCamey too. That is if Illinois decides not to go after him. -

The Bucknell/Navy ending is a must watch. Bucknell was down 17, brought it to triple overtime and I'll let you watch the rest. Make sure to catch the Bucknell commentary too. -

Anywhere to watch the first round games? -
QUOTE(Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 03:48 PM) One of the problems with the initial launch was that Sony didn't give developers enough time to learn the system, so nearly every third party game was just a port of the original...usually a bad one at that. After a year we're finally getting third party games that look better on the ps3 because developers are finally able to make the games using what the ps3 has to offer. I've had my ps3 since launch and although it sucks that I paid an extra couple hundred compared to what I can get now, I still think it was an excellent purchase. What's everyones favorite games? I'd rank them as: Uncharted Assassins Creed MLB The Show 2008 NBA 2k8 Resistance (out of the games I own) Resistance last? That game is one of my favorites. My rankings: 1. Resistance 2. Call of Duty 4 3. Unreal Tournament 3 These 3 are must owns IMO(all FPS though...) 4. Guitar Hero 3 5. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 6. Assasin's Creed(I really want to like it, but it's by far the buggiest game I have ever played)

QUOTE(SnB @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 09:47 PM) So I've recently been thinking about getting rock band (just the CD) and just using my GH guitars. Rock Band just seems to have so many great songs on the CD and to download. Good/Bad idea? I would say bad idea. GH2 is way better when it comes to guitars IMO. Also, this won't work if you have the Ps3 version.

Sort of disappointed because I was hoping he would eventually get the TV job with Hawk.

Hm, Wikipedia used to have a page with this. Either they changed the title of the article or got rid of it completely. Anyways, a small list: Matt Thornton, Chicago White Sox: Ten Thousand Fists, Disturbed Bobby Jenks, Chicago White Sox: Boom, P.O.D. Paul Konerko, Chicago White Sox: Harvester of Sorrow, Metallica

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 3, 2008 -> 11:35 PM) So on Saturday night I won a Nintendo Wii during a rather heated game of poker. For all you guys my age who have Wii's what games do you recommend? Multiplayer musts Super Smash Bros Brawl(Actually, should have a notch single player too. It's Out Sunday, going to be teh best game evar. I'm going to the midnight launch because I'm a huge tool). Super Mario Strikers Charged(Online is ridiculously fun, as is playing with a friend or 3) Guitar Hero 3(If you have either a PS3 or 360, I would suggest that version, as it has downloadable content, which the Wii version does not feature) Single Player musts Zelda: Twilight Princess Super Mario Galaxy(Currently the 2nd best reviewed game ever) Resdient Evil 4(Should be on the cheap, >25$) Some other solid games you might want to look at: MLB Power Pros, Madden(If you don't have another system), Rayman Raving Rabbids(another fun multiplayer game).

QUOTE(gbuk @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 08:17 PM) Try telling me Kentucky is not a tournament team. 4-9 versus the RPI top 100. 2 more losses versus RPI 100+ teams. No Patrick Patterson. Nope, sorry. -
PS3 is the best available Blu-Ray player according to most, and I think the cheapest too. Here is a(old) CNET article rating the players: http://reviews.cnet.com/4321-6463_7-6509000.html
