  2. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 23, 2008 -> 09:59 PM) http://photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/jpeg/PIA10214.jpg it's rather large. Roughly where is it on there?
  3. QUOTE(dasox24 @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 01:08 PM) - I always hit the "lock" button on my car twice to make sure it's locked. That. Except I usually do it much more than twice.
  4. I have to lock the door if I go into a room by myself.
  5. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jan 17, 2008 -> 06:21 AM) A version of this girl is at every single Alumni club I have ever been too. The over-talky cock-blocky type. LOL
  6. In this new, wing world, anything is possible.
  7. Brawl received just the 7th perfect score ever from the longest running gaming mag in the world. This game needs to get here like now.
  8. Super Smash Bros. Brawl delayed yet again until March. That makes me one sad panda.
  9. Funny we should have this conversation today, actually. ESPN has announced plans to broadcast Major League Gaming, aka Smash Bros. Melee and Halo matches.
  10. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 09:51 PM) ALright. I can understand liking a game... but one of the best ever made? A fighting game starring nintendo celebrities? It might be a fun party game, but "best ever made" really isn't fair to games that produce a great storyline, incredible graphics, great sound... you get what I'm saying. I'll stop making fun of Super Smash Bros. now, obviously enough people like it that my judgement doesn't really matter. But one of the best games ever I shall not accept! Melee is one of the deepest games ever created. No one will argue that. Just because the orginal was simple fanfare of Nintendo celebrities does make that false. There's a reason it's the 2nd most popular competitive gaming game(Yes, people do do that), and that it's the only GCN game left in which reissues are still being ordered over 6 years after its release. As for you 2nd part, does a game really need a great storyline or incredible graphics to be considered among the best games ever made? Then how come so many critically accaimled games don't have either then? Take Mario and Zelda for example, the two best reviewed series ever. Neither even bothers with a story. They have pretty good graphics(Sometimes great as was the case for Mario 64). But the reason they are so liked aren't for either of those, but rather for their flawless gameplay. I would say Melee certainly qualifies. As for sound, I won't touch that. Brawl is already being heralded as having the best soundtrack ever. And who can argue? It simply takes the most memorable gaming songs, and has the original composer remix it into an orchestrated form. In the words from the Smash Dojo: "To have so many of these individuals providing music for a single work may very well be an historic event in the history of video-game music! It's almost unthinkable!"
  11. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 09:41 PM) Hmmm. Yes, if you are ten, it is. Haha. Seriously. But I'm not ten. It's an awesome game, one of the best ever made. Seriously.
  12. Super Smash Bros Melee is quite possibly the best game ever made. I can't wait for Brawl so much that I have to read the daily updates with all the new characters being put in on smashbros.com.
  13. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 09:22 PM) No, he didn't. He never said anything bad about them. His back was bothering him and apparently now it's better. I could have sworn I read the same story as Brian.
  14. QUOTE(KyKyGruber @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 02:04 AM) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZnbu1XrJgo andy gonzalez Best post ever.
  15. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 02:16 AM) Yes, we've played a weak non-conference schedule--we still have UConn remaining at the end of the month. However, you would usually assume a non-conference slate with Illinois State, Xavier, Georgia Tech, Southern Illinois, and Kentucky would be fairly respectable. However, basically all of those teams are having horrid years beyond expecation. Oh yeah. I should have said that their resume is not for a lack of effort on Sampson's part.
  16. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 14, 2008 -> 01:55 AM) One game proves they're not a great team? I don't think so. I have no comment on whether they are, in fact, a great team -- I don't watch them enough to make that comment -- but this game didn't prove that. They've proven they aren't a great much more than they are one. Let's face it, the only decent tourney team they've played is Xaiver, who wiped the floor on a neutral court with them. Now they've recently struggled against poor teams in Illinois(Who is a good team in terms of the rest of the schedule)and Iowa. My guess is one of their fans will remind me of a certain game, but that is only an indication on far they are reaching there. So all these games may be no indication of anything, but IU certainly has not proved they are a great team, or even a good one. There is a reason they have the lowest RPI of one loss teams by ten spots...their resume is just horrible right now. Even worse than the often critisized Wazzu's and Vandy's.
  17. You know when the announcers are going nuts over it, it must be bad.
  18. QUOTE(Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 11:28 PM) they've done a good job against Gordon. This was the team I was expecting. A team that can play good D, hit a few shots and MAKE SOME F'N FREE THROWS. You know it's bad when they are shooting 75% from FT and you feel they are doing awesome from there.
  19. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 07:24 PM) What IS people's problem with David Wells? More like, how the hell could any White Sox fan possibly like the man?
  20. QUOTE(JFields27 @ Jan 12, 2008 -> 11:36 PM) Podsednik Willie Harris D'Angelo Jimenez Wells Erye Marte Tom Gordon Graffanino(ew) Jerry Manuel(are we allowed to hate the manager) How anyone could possibly hate these three is beyond comprehension. You have problems. Get help.
