QUOTE(JFields27 @ Jan 5, 2008 -> 11:54 PM) They have Dufrene who ripped that 50 yard run or what ever it was against the Buckeyes, but yeah not much there. I was excited for Mendenhall to come back, but once I heard him say records meant nothing to him and that he had nothing to prove in college he was good as gone Pollard too who was really good as their number two before going down. They have a ton of talent at the position still, but yeah, they're still going to lose a lot. -
I saw National Treasure 2 and liked it. That's right, I liked National Treasure 2.

Whitney Young is amazing. Almost too much talent. They have 4 D1 guards on their roster. It's going to be hard for anyone to beat them come March. -

I really hope Bobby can win his appeal to the NCAA for another year. -
I need help with something. I'm an idiot and spilled water on my cell phone. I have insurance. From what I read, I would have to pay a 50$ deductable to get it replaced. Fine with me. But I will get the same kind of phone in return right?

QUOTE(sircaffey @ Dec 25, 2007 -> 01:37 AM) Skiles' tough "his way or the highway" type style was going to wear on the players at some point or another. Um, what? You're giving the players a pass for this? That is why the NBA is a joke. It's 100% on the players to buy into the coach's system, no matter what it is. So he made him work a little hard. Boo effin' whoo.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Dec 24, 2007 -> 10:05 PM) This is funny. Two people from two fan different fan bases talking football s*** on a school that beat both of them in football. Whatever helps you sleep at night honeys. It would be so easy to talk basketball s***, yet you still want to talk football s*** when you lost. Hilarious. Continue talking football s***, I enjoy the laughs. This is why it was so funny to begin with. -

QUOTE(3E8 @ Dec 23, 2007 -> 10:19 PM) B>W what do you think of Galaxy? I got it last weekend. It's already the second-highest rated game ever on gamerankings.com. I'm really impressed by the gameplay and creativity/originality, but I'm finding it way too easy so far (I have about 20 stars to give you an idea of where I am). Hopefully it gets more challenging. I'm about where you are. Very impressed for the same reasons. I heard about 30 stars in it starts to get pretty tough.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 23, 2007 -> 07:55 PM) Judging from all I have been reading over the past few months, most true blue gamers are still playing a "wait and see" attitude with the Wii. Mario Galaxy has been the big proof to them that the Wii could be a GREAT system, but as long as Nintendo chooses to cater mostly to the non-die hards and releasing mini-game extravaganzas, they are all sticking to their 360's and PS units. Nintendo knows what main market they are going to attack, and it does not appear that the gamer is their goal. Their goal is to create gamers out of us non-gamers, and give us a few true gaming style games to ease us into that world. I disagree. Nintendo is about as hardcore game developer that you'll hear of. Of course they produce a bunch of mini and non-game crap too, but their the biggest developer in the world by a wide margin. They have the resources to produce both...and they do, as evidenced by them producing the game of the year back to back with Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy. There is a ton of harcore, excellent "gamer" titles out there for the Wii. You just have to know where to look.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 23, 2007 -> 07:09 PM) My 4 year old son kicks my butt on the Wii. His favorite games are the bowling game in the Wii Sports that comes with the system, Rampage and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. The Wii is perfectly aimed at all ages, but not "gamers". Zelda, Metroid, and Mario Galaxy are about as gamerish as you can get as is the concept of the Virtual Console. I'd say it's suitable for just about anyone.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Dec 23, 2007 -> 08:21 AM) Missouri played poorly. Illinois should have given Pruitt the ball more. He had 10 points in the first 11 minutes of the game and finished with 14. That's pretty inexcusable. Illinois' guards struggled with the press for bits so maybe they were unable to get him the ball or something. Seems to be happening a lot. Can't blame the guards too much there...he wasn't getting position as much as he was earlier in the game. I think he may have a conditioning problem or something. What's really good though for Illinois is that they don't need to give him the ball only when he's a foot away from the basket anymore. These last two games he's somehow come up with an impressive range of moves where he's able to work himself in. -
QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Dec 23, 2007 -> 07:40 AM) Well, for starters, a Wii is twice as expensive. But, really, I don't know too much about modern video games (haven't played at all since Sega NHL '94 - in 1994). I just want to know if the games on the Wii are going to be too complicated for an 8,6 and 4 year old. I know my son has played PS2, but not Wii. Sounds like something he can handle. I'll be quite the hero if I get it for him. I hear Santa will get the credit, though. Thanks to all for the input. What games would you recommend for starters on the Wii? Wii is very pick-up and playish. It much less complicated than really anything else out there, and suitable for all ages. It comes with a great game already, Wii Sports, which is what you'll spend your most time playing. Other than than, I would reccomend first the bevy of Mario titles. Mario Strikers(soccer) first, then Mario Party, Mario Galaxy, WarioWare, and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. Then I would say, for the younger crowd, Rayman Raving Rabbids(1 or 2), MLB Power Pros, Guitar Hero III, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, and anything on the Virtual console Do you know what he plays on his DS? There's probably a good counterpart availble for the Wii, so you can always do that.

The White Sox and Alexei Ramírez agree to 4 year deal

1. Ramirez 2. Cabrera 3. Thome 4. Pk 5. KD 6. Fields 7. AJP 8. Crede 9. Richar And optimist may have us above average everywhere except 2B. Not a horrible line-up depending on what Ramirez can do at the top. Though I think Crede still gets traded. -

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 22, 2007 -> 12:27 AM) I really hope we can get him playing a decent SS. That would help so much. I'm guessing he'll be in the outfield this year, which I see he plays, but no specific position. Does anyone know? If he's a SS, I'm guessing he could be athletic enough for CF. -
