QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Dec 12, 2007 -> 04:24 AM) That's the way the market is going. The White Sox are eventually going to have to pay that kind of money or become Pittsburgh. We're all willing for our owner to spend that money... as long as that money has actually done something in MLB.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 11, 2007 -> 02:06 PM) I'll be impressed by him, or Blain or any of those guys, when I see them someplace where they are NOT on camera. You just don't know how much is staged (with all plants) and how much is trick photography. Go see a magic show then. Someone like a David Copperfield is just as impressive as them, and he's on stage.

Hey everyone, this is Ryan Clark with your weekly reminder that LIVE tonight we'll be providing free coverage of Monday Night RAW. This is how it'll work. Around 8EST, come back to this exact page and continue refreshing throughout the night for updated results. It's that simple. We'll be posting live updates as the show airs. Tune in TONIGHT at 8EST. Here are some backstage news, rumors, and *Spoilers* for tonight's show..... It's the RAW anniversary special and it starts one hour earlier at 8EST. Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan are confirmed for this show. Mick Foley, Eric Bischoff, Trish Stratus, Tammy 'Sunny', & Lita are confirmed as well. There will be a Battle Royal featuring many past and present names. Expect lots of surprises here. 2 Cold Scorpio, Jim Neidhart, Steve Blackman, The Mean Street Posse, Gangrel, Scotty 2 Hotty, Marty Jannetty, Ted DiBiase, Bart Gunn, Gilerg, Mae Young, Bastion Booger, Barry Darsow, Lita, Sunny, Trish Stratus, Steve Austin, and MANY others are all at RAW today. Some will do backstage cameos while others will be in the Battle Royal. Former ECW Champion Steve Corino is backstage at RAW and is expected to get a tryout tonight prior to RAW against DH Smith. He may work under a mask. I'm also told he may be getting offered a tryout as an agent/producer as well. Corino had a meeting recently in Stamford, CT. about the possibility of working full-time for WWE. We'll see how it goes tonight but it appears he is looking for work. It has been confirmed that Barry "Repo Man/Smash" Darsow and WWE Hall of Famer The Iron Sheik have been booked for tonight's Raw's 15th anniversary show. Iron Sheik managed The Sultan (a masked Rikishi) in 1996-97. Darsow appeared on Raw's second ever show in his "Repo Man" gimmick in January 1993, but left the company shortly there after. Henry Godwin is at RAW. Sid Vicious is also at RAW. He's sporting a baseball cap and sunglasses so we believe it's him. Hulk Hogan is in the building. Al Snow is confirmed for RAW. Rob Van Dam is backstage at RAW and will appear. Matt Borne will appear as Doink. The Godfather is at the show and will appear. Bill Irwin will appear as The Goon. Look for all the agents to make appearances (Arn Anderson, Ricky Steamboat, Dusty Rhodes, Michael Hayes, etc etc.) Evolution (Randy Orton, Big Dave Batista, Ric Flair, & Triple H) returns for one night. Expect them to start the build for Triple H vs. Batista at WrestleMania 24. There will be a 'McMahon Family Portrait' segment where they will do a family photo with Hornswoggle. Steph, Shane, Linda, and Vince will all be there live. Vince McMahon will name the all-time greatest RAW star which I'm guessing is him. Expect a beatdown of McMahon with Stunners, Legdrops, and so on to end the show. Jeff Hardy vs. Carlito in a Ladder Match which has the potential to be sick. Expect loads of other surprises. Brock Lesnar, The Big Show, and Rena 'Sable' Mero will not be there. Is The Rock there? We will see. He was contacted. The Rock was in every ad I saw for tonight, so he better be there. -
Official Recruiting Thread II

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 10, 2007 -> 07:02 AM) If you want to know the difference between Ron Zook and Bruce Weber, and more noteably the direction of their programs, look at tonight's showdown between #1 Whitney Young and #5 Homewood-Floosmoor in hoops (and SIU fans, Kevin Dilliard is the truth, but back on target). The best player on the floor tonight, for either team, was none other than Illinois FOOTBALL recruit Supo Sanni (despite the fact Illinois is recruiting 3 different players on Whitney Young), who had 25 points and 15 rebounds as H-F pulled the 66-55 upset. Yeah, Weber should stop focusing his recruiting on the 3 star, 4 star, and 5 star guards because they were outplayed by a football recruit. He should be going after better players than these already very highly rated guards. Heck, just go after football players instead. Seriously, it's an interesting subplot, but to turn that into a negative about Illinois basketball is just stupid. These are some of the best players in the state regardless of what happened tonight. -
With Rex out, who should be the Bears No. 1 QB? 4.5% Brian Griese (90 responses) 95.5% Kyle Orton (1900 responses)

QUOTE(max power @ Dec 10, 2007 -> 02:45 AM) Their rotations are what seperates them in my mind. The indians have 2 people likely to pitch at the league average and 2 below. Their careers say that to me. Which one of Carmona and Sabathia is league average?
-
God no.

QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Dec 9, 2007 -> 07:34 AM) Floyd made 30 million for this fight, and he's gonna take two years off... maybe by then someone will be able to challenge him? He'll be back fighting Cotto by June, no doubt.

Hatton's chin though, wow, amazing.
-
Card starts at 8 I believe. I think only 3 of the 8 are on TV, maybe only 2. Depending on how those finish will probably determine what time Hatton/PBF will be on.

Holy hell, never seen a screw-job like that before. Not once, but twice does UofA call a TO when they don't have any(One time the refs even seemed to grant it). And no FTs for Illinois. -
The Patriots have their own section on ESPN's bottom-line. What the hell.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 7, 2007 -> 06:21 AM) You should check some of the games Miami has had. Not that they are a great team, but they have taken great teams down to the wire pretty regularly. Yeah, I'm familar with them. Their 3rd place Anaheim finish got my interest. Probably the best the MAC has to offer again. Kent State may be decent though. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 7, 2007 -> 03:01 AM) Xavier is pretty good and IU played about as bad as they could. Now, I don't think they're going to win the NC but that reasoning has nothing to do with the loss to Xavier. That's not a bad loss at all. Xavier is decent, possibly good, not great. We'll see if they'll be able to beat more quality teams and not lose to teams like Miami Ohio, who is fairly average. Regardless, IU should not be losing to them by 15 in Chicago, especially if they're "going to win it all this year". QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Dec 7, 2007 -> 05:00 AM) And I'd expect nothing less than criticism from a U of I homer whose username on a White Sox message board is related to Illinois basketball. If you had our team you would be saying the same thing. There are a lot of IU fans on this site, and every single one of them seems more rational than you. -

I'm sitting here baffled at how anyone could be predicting a NC for an Indiana team that was humbled on a neutral court against a mid-major. They may very well be contenders come March, but not? Certainly not. -

QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Dec 6, 2007 -> 04:17 PM) Apparently Grobe is staying at Wake Forest. LOL, this is just what Arkansas fans do. They have supposedly had everyone from Tommy Tubberville, Mike Leach, to hometown guy Butch Davis as done deals, and of course nothing works for them. Hilarious to watch their coaching search. Don't forget that Bill Self was a lock for them. -
Really? Blizzard is making StarCraft II right now, and they usually only handle one game at once. But Street Fighter 4 is coming: Screenshot: http://media.1up.com/media?id=3448787&type=lg

QUOTE(buckweaver @ Dec 6, 2007 -> 01:38 PM) Half-man, half-pimp? So now let's start trashing Willie Harris because the Tigers got Miggy and everyone here is a pissed off Chicken Little! Some posters on this site are unbelievable. BTW, I met Willie at a Soxfest a few years back...a gracious, soft-spoken young man from Georgia. Best to him! Trashing him? He's a man-god. -
Since we haven't heard anymore more, probably not. And no whispered names.
