I've been debating whether or not I should say something here. But I'm going to. Knightni, I understand the spirit behind your thread title. They are the Cleveland Indians, and we don't like these guys. I got it. But, considering what smallpox laden blankets did the native American population, this thread title does not meet the standards that I've come to expect here at Soxtalk.

 

I really think the Soxtalk powers that be should give this some thought.

Are the same rules in effect for starting game threads as last year (re: if the team wins or loses, etc)?

 

I might actually start a game thread this year....but don't hold your breath!

 

As for today, I think Vaz will have a quality start, but the Sox will pound Carmona (reserving the right to change this opinion after seeing the lineup, though).

I wouldnt be surprised at all to see Anderson in CF though after Ramirez' tough day at the plate yesterday. And to be honest, BA should have played Monday, he should play today and he should also play tomorrow

I also thought Ramirez had a rough day in the field on Opening Day. He made the plays, but I didn't think he looked good out there. Hopefully Anderson gets the start today.

I agree 100% but Ramirez should be at 2B and Anderson CF. Mark Buerhle needs the best defensive team behind him to win and this organization is continuing to show that defense is not as important as hitting.

 

Uribe has had success agaisnt Carmona and Thursday is a day game so who knows.

I'll second the notion that I don't like these ridiculous titles for the game threads.

As someone whose family is on the rolls of the Cherokee nation, i vote that i like the titles of the threads and applaud the effort at creativity. I also can't believe it's even being discussed. What's going on around here? Ignore it if you don't like it.
