  1. Don't they own 75% of it already? Why would they do that? All tv channels are partnerships with the broadcasting ie Sinclair owning 50% of Marquee or Fox owning 51% of the Big Ten Network.
  2. I've been to basically every playoff game but for me it's game 1 ALDS vs Boston. Even though it was a day game, sox fans were absolutely starved for a playoff game. The sound before that game was glass shattering. The energy didn't last that long because it didn't need too as the players jumped out to a massive lead fueled by the energy. I have no doubt the Sox have the best home field advantage in MLB. Shame they can't get to a point of taking advantage of it.
  3. Yeah not going prospect hunting with 2 star major leaguers. Of course I guess Eloy hasn't actually been that either.
  4. I'm moncadas biggest critic but no sense in moving him yet.
  5. But were not the place to look for that so yeah
  6. He did, yes.
  7. Sosa did not close to being a major leaguer in any facet last year. Romy, despite being awful himself, at least looked the part. Hope we are not forced into having to rely on Sosa though.
  8. More suited for a playoff roster than a season one, but I like it. Can't complain about Billy
  9. He's still somehow only 28 next year so really a 5th year shouldn't be a killer. A rare FA that could age quite well.
  10. He seems to have broken stuff before at least. He's the only one I really pay attention to
  11. As loaded as the ex-sox infield is, I think I'd go current Sox.
  12. It's a good thing they're away from our training staff and with someone else's. No coincidence two of the Sox better players last year in Cueto and Andrus didn't have spring training with the Sox. I'm only half serious when I right all that, but really don't mind them being away.
  13. The richest man in the world coming in and firing every last employee the Sox currently have sounds like just what the doctor ordered tbqh.
  14. Elon would be great since there would be a stupid amount of money thrown around. I don't think he's shown any inclination to own a sports team though and no ties to Chicago. Cuban is the dream then, but Jerry would never sell to him.
  15. It made 0 sense not to call him up last year
  16. Not sure what that has to do with anything
  17. Can't say I've ever questioned TAs drive
  18. Nah. I've never seen anyone embrace the southside culture like Tim has. He is the face of the franchise. A great player worth even more because what he brings alongside him. And well he may not be perfect, he goes out and hangs with kids in the projects on his off days because he thinks it the right thing to do. Would be a real slap in the face to the fans to trade your two stars. Being the lone person to play with energy has somehow made him a clubhouse cancer, apparently.
  19. Lol imagine getting rid of Tim Anderson and Abreu in the same offseason. How stupid could this franchise get?
  20. Where did Merkin say sox aren't expecting to pick? Only tweet I can find With roster at 36 it only makes sense to pick
  21. Didn't the draft used to be in the morning? Moved it a lot later this year so I guess they're forcing people to stick around. There's hope yet.
  22. Hate that it's come to this but probably the right move now
