Our old friends the Padres are interested

And completely ran out of gas after 50 games

I like that theory

With the case pending, they did the right thing. Now once it’s closed, they better not hide behind the case and say no further comment.

That’s what I was thinking. McEwing is his mentor and Cairo is supposed to be a great infield coach. Outside of Tony, Timmy should be excited.

So translate this for me, is he saying he doesn’t like the new staff or old staff?

Timmy supposedly has a good relationship with Super Joe

Why would any Sox fan want to waste a year of contention having the team have a mutiny during the season? Honestly it seems some people on here are going to root for the Sox to lose this year just to hate even more on Tony.

The second the news broke that Tony called José and Tim, it was blatantly obvious nothing was going to happen.

Were you really expecting him to get replaced?

So what does this mean? Plea to a lesser charge?

Prepare to be disappointed, IMO. However they can still have a very strong offseason.

If Morosi really did talk to a source close to Springer who said he’s giving serious thought to playing in Toronto, shouldn’t we be concerned that Morosi then didn’t list the WSox as being involved?

Springer preferring to go back to the east coast is a horribly kept secret.

Unless one of the food accounts tweeted it, I don’t blame James had a kid

Nah he talks about anything and everything

Maybe the intent to spend means using it on existing contracts in trades and not going nuts via free agency? You know me though, I would love Bauer or Springer.

HogWildPorkChops or ZarlengosItalianIce for those of us from south suburbs

At least he said the Sox have money to spend.

It was fun to dream for an hour

I agree with you in controllable pitchers in return

Why wouldn’t they be? Basically all the super prospects will be on the 25 man roster, and it’s not like Abreu/Keuchel are young studs. Personally, I think they should be going for it.

Dahlquist supposedly looks significantly better than Thompson

Would love for them to deal Stiever as I think his value will plummet if he shows up in 2021 with the same stuff he had this year (or is injured)

They’re not going to go from wanting Vaughn for Lynn to wanting Thompson and lesser prospects.
