  1. Cardinals officially out
  2. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Dec 8, 2017 -> 05:21 AM) Trading prospects at this stage is counterproductive. Not if you're getting someone that fits the timetable though as a long-term core piece
  3. Would love a Sox trade of Yelich without giving up Eloy/Kopech/Robert. Would be fine with Hansen headlining a package
  4. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Dec 4, 2017 -> 03:33 AM) Three straight games they've just given away. Hopefully by January they'll learn how to finish. Truly amazing how many turnover in the last few minutes of regulation them and their opponents have had in big ten play.
  5. Rangers and Cubs still in https://mobile.twitter.com/Evan_P_Grant/sta...514459425320961
  6. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Dec 4, 2017 -> 04:15 AM) The no call on Alstork was just balanced by that no call on the inbound. Basically refs are missing every call. Goal tending was terrible non-call, and I also liked when Frazier was three feet out of bounds and touched ball and no call.
  7. Some meltdown by Maryland. I'm sure Illinois fans won't complain about refs in last ten minutes after blown goal tending
  8. Can't wait for the hot take that they wasted their money on Robert instead of going all in for Ohtani
  9. Didn't know how many connections the Padres have to Ohtani. Would be fascinating if he went there.
  10. Same guy who predicted Castillo to WSox is predicting Cards
  11. QUOTE (GenericUserName @ Dec 4, 2017 -> 01:43 AM) Ohtani needs some new agents already. This questionnaire/slow reveal is making every other fan base hate him. Not good when so much of his money is going to be tied up in marketing. It might now have been the best strategy. Actually agree with this
  12. Well Nightengale might as well be our beat reporter
  13. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 4, 2017 -> 01:34 AM) Can’t tell if serious... Someone I trust said they have a great chance of getting Harper and it's the main reason they didn't go after Stanton.
  14. QUOTE (gosoxtim8 @ Dec 4, 2017 -> 12:32 AM) i dont know why he would go the cubs becase just a another piece and not the person to bring them a world series Clearly to play with Bryce Harper in 2019
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 4, 2017 -> 12:25 AM) I don’t know why everyone is surprised that fathom wants the cubs to sign Ohtani Oh stop, that joke is so 2 years ago. I do find it funny Tony was so quick to say I was wrong and then it quickly came out I might not be.
  16. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Dec 4, 2017 -> 01:15 AM) #DBacks also out on Ohtani, per source. Teams that have yet to acknowledge outcome include #Cubs, #Angels, #Rangers, #Padres. Possible indication they’re in; not confirmed. https://twitter.com/Ken_Rosenthal/status/937475152023040000 Sure seems Beradino's source was correct
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 4, 2017 -> 01:14 AM) YEAH AND HAHN HASNT SAID ANYTHING EITHER Well do the Sox even have a beat reporter to ask Hahn?
  18. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 4, 2017 -> 12:54 AM) Whoever signs him I bet will pull the Kris Bryant treatment to get that extra year. But whoever signs him will surely extend him to a huge deal after a few seasons
  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 3, 2017 -> 11:20 PM) Someone tweeted Cashman said he preferred smaller market West Coast, so probably Seattle, SF (although is really small market) and SD. Seattle really seems to be in good shape
  20. https://mobile.twitter.com/BryanHoch/status...461055118364672
  21. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 4, 2017 -> 12:15 AM) Jon Heyman‏Verified account @JonHeyman haven't heard yanks are officially out, but ohtani is telling teams he prefers a smaller market. which could bode well for twins, mariners, padres, pirates, etc. Well I hope Hahn included our attendance and TV ratings in the questionnaire
  22. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 3, 2017 -> 11:10 PM) The rumors are true, he’s totally signing with the Sox! No but I worry the Cubs have a pretty good chance, especially with Yankees out. To me it's Mariners/Cubs/Dodgers
  23. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 2, 2017 -> 04:34 PM) How long are you going to have to put up with Pastner? There is no upside with him as a coach and he isn't even recruiting that well at Georgia Tech. Pastner was incredible last year and has a solid class coming next year after bringing in a great backcourt this year. GT best player is out and their other star is playing hurt and hasn't practiced in weeks. Given the poor financial situation the athletic dept is in, he will be there for quite a while.
  24. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 2, 2017 -> 04:09 PM) I think they are bubble for sure but could also lose to anyone with these long scoring droughts in every game. Really need Harris to develop. I bet they wouldn't lose to Grambling. What the hell.....
  25. Always been a fan. Great compliment to Narvaez. Don't think people realize how good Castillo was last year
