I'm actually surprised how well Glasnow pitched for Tampa

he was definitely one of the names mentioned in the Q trade, but I see you said worst

All good Also, I can't find the tweet now but an Angels fan believes Moreno might have been the mystery owner from yesterday, as they found flight data of his plane going to the meetings.

Glasnow, Austin Meadows, Josh Bell, Kevin Newman, Albies, Clint Frazier....

he's saying if they miss out on Harper, they can sign Brantley and someone else

sure it's possible someone could do both, the big issue is that so far Collins has been only playing catcher and reports are less than glowing.

my god, if we got JBJ and Swihart in a deal, it would be like 20% of all the trade rumors from the last 3 years.

Cat and T. Loxas are probably the two guys who've broken the most Cubs transactions over the last 5 or so years. The fact they both thing they're involved in the chase makes me think it's more than likely they are.

This guy has been very solid in the past and has said no for Harper to the Cubs the last few weeks. Seems like he’s changed his mind: https://mobile.twitter.com/TomLoxas/status/1072588244175474688

Jackie Bradley Jr. was always someone I pictured the Sox being interested in

Maybe the Sox should trade Collins if there's anyone left that actually thinks he's a catcher.

He just had a bad game or two defensively. If that caused his market to collapse, then good for the Sox.

sorry, meant significant friendship due to growing up in Florida, etc. Manny's closest friends appear to be Schoop, Alonso, Almora and J. Jay

Already looked to see if there was a Manny connection, and it doesn't appear so

I would have agreed with you if it was any position besides catcher. Maybe they just really want to know they have someone at that position for the next 3-4 years they can rely on to at least catch the ball.

wanted him in the draft

I made mention of this a few weeks ago, so this isn't me overreacting to the situation, but he's one of the most frustrating hitters to watch in all of baseball.

This would be a classic "KW always gets his guy" acquisition

and then they can say Grandal was their target all along, as he provides top-notch defense and will be a part of the next contending team

No, he was spotted at GRF....this Oscar guy was told about it last night at the Bulls game

that was in Vegas

Omar Ramos is a professional in the media industry, and now he's saying someone told him at the Bulls game last night that Bryce was here last week

agreed, but that's a pretty noteworthy thing, considering how much people were freaking out about the idea of him even visiting the United Center a few weeks ago

I know this was last week and not today, but I'm surprised this isn't a bigger deal to some people on here.

I've been the low man on Harper all along, and I would say maybe 20% for Sox (which is up from the 0.0% a month ago). I do think the Yankees are out now and it's a 4 team race.
