  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 17, 2017 -> 03:15 AM) They better hope someone gets desperate to add a pitcher like Holland or Miguel Gonzalez in late May or early June... Teams aren't dumb (unless you're Hahn last year). Holland's peripherals are awful. ERA looks good due to 11 unearned runs.
  2. Exit velocity off Holland last two games has been very high
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 17, 2017 -> 03:03 AM) Nobody will want that guy. He's done. Why would a contender want him clogging up the roster? Some team will take him to a corner infield reserve down the stretch
  4. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 17, 2017 -> 02:59 AM) Melky can not get out of here fast enough. Ending up being a horrible signing. Barely a positive WAR over three years
  5. Anderson needs to stand closer to the plate. He can't do anything with pitches on outside corner. I'm sure Steverson will help
  6. Can't wait for Frazier to be traded at the deadline for a 25 year old A ball pitcher.
  7. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 17, 2017 -> 03:05 AM) Really impressed with him since he came up. We'll see what happens when scouting reports come into play on him, but I like his swing, eye, etc. Just looks like he can be very good. I think he has better offensive numbers already than Anderson this season
  8. Happ is going to mash. Has a great power swing
  9. QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ May 15, 2017 -> 01:21 AM) Shine coming off a bit this year? 35% K rate and a 250/333/379 slash line so far Two days later and his numbers look good
  10. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ May 16, 2017 -> 11:21 PM) I think the bidding for Q will come down to the Cubs and Cards. Both have a need at SP and cost controlled SP at that. I don't see the Nats doing much to their rotation as they are likely to run away with that division in the second half and with all the injuries the Mets have, it doesn't make a lot of sense for them to be chasing a pennant this season. Rockies for Rodgers + is my hope

    5/16 Games

Basabe doing a nice job of walking of late but his average has plummeted. Seems to really struggle vs LHP.
  12. Is this where I get in trouble for saying Cubs have made baseball cool again in the city
  13. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 16, 2017 -> 04:02 AM) I'll agree with that. I would've pulled Pelfrey after the homer. But its semantics at this point from that b.s call. Still would have only been two outs, and then he was nowhere close against one of the worst hitters in baseball and almost gave up a homer to their 9 hitter.
  14. QUOTE (flavum @ May 16, 2017 -> 04:04 AM) Todd Frazier is hitting .175, but he's our third basemen, and he's going to turn it around real soon and lead us to the playoffs, by golly. Go Sox yay! He's going to be out of baseball in two years if he keeps this up. His swing mechanics are awful.
  15. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 16, 2017 -> 03:58 AM) Renteria has been very good this season. I got on him before but he's been right on the money with his feel for the game for the most part. Letting him face Trout was bonkers though. That's hard to defend
  16. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 16, 2017 -> 04:53 AM) That ball 4 call was bulls*** and you know it. https://mobile.twitter.com/WhiteSoxUmp/stat...323835251892224 Should have been out of the inning in the first place. Absolutely a bad call but you could see him hit the wall against Espinosa

  18. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 16, 2017 -> 04:48 AM) 0 issue with him leaving Pelfrey in. Hell, a horrid call cost him extra pitches. If you can't go 5 innings, you shouldn't be in the big leagues. That's the thing, he shouldn't be in the majors. He can't finish 5 innings and was lucky it wasn't 3-3 after the long fly out. With two outs and lefty up, seemed like obvious time to pull him
  19. Does RR have money on the Angels? This is insane, that is inexcusable
  20. Absolutely brutal managing by Renteria. Trying to get Pelfrey the win. Good thing this game doesn't matter
  21. Chavez is away, away, away to righties and Sox hitters look clueless.
  22. Offense is dreadful. Davidson gonna be below .200 in no time
