  1. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 22, 2016 -> 06:08 PM) I agree with Fathom. With 40% of the NL not even trying, the Cubs will make the playoffs easily. They would have to multiple injuries to not make the playoffs. The Cubs have players on their bench/bullpen that would be better than a large majority of the players starting on the Reds/Brewers this year. Those teams won't combine for 100 wins.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 22, 2016 -> 06:58 PM) LMAO fathom. you of all people, posting this here Oh yay, this again They'll easily win 90 games during the regular season, so there's no reason to get nervous about whether or not they'll make the playoffs. It would be nice to see the Mets make the postseason again and see if their stud pitching is the Cubs kryptonite.
  3. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Feb 22, 2016 -> 06:46 PM) It's a minor league deal and there are some posters that upset with this move? Seriously? Wait until they sign Marlon Byrd or Venable as their competition for LaRoche/Avi. That will be a nice meltdown.
  4. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Feb 22, 2016 -> 06:41 PM) Just add Rollins to the ever growing list of players that the Sox get past their primes. Griffey, Ramirez, Vizquel, Jones, Dunn, LaRoche, etc. It's pathetic. Adam Dunn was not past his prime
  5. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Feb 22, 2016 -> 05:33 PM) Many of you act mature and above the crosstown s***flinging, but I dont. This may be one of those years that comes around so rarely where I root more against the Cubs than I do for the Sox. Let the hate flow through you. Don't stress yourself out during the regular season. A ton would have to go wrong for them not to make the postseason.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 22, 2016 -> 05:23 PM) Exactly my thought. So you think opt-out at end of ST if he doesn't win starting spot?
  7. What was your favorite moment of the Ian Desmond White Sox era?
  8. Interesting how the Sox have added depth at starting pitching and middle infield, two places they were lacking in depth at. Now, here comes the outfield position.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 22, 2016 -> 06:12 PM) Eh. Rollins isn't coming here as a back up, I would almost bet on it. He is either a starter, or he will be released. He is on a minor league deal, which means there is nothing at risk right now, and I am sure he has an opt out, or a handshake agreement about playing time. I still don't think the Sox trust Sanchez to be a solid SS due to arm strength.
  10. All the more reason they might be trying to find a CF and move Eaton to LF.
  11. Bad news for Carlos Sanchez. Here's your back-up infielder.
  12. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 22, 2016 -> 04:30 AM) It's just you. What do people like about him then? Seems he would have been much better when Hardcore Championship was around
  13. Maybe it's me but I despise Ambrose. Seems there is nothing special to him besides awful facial mannerisms.
  14. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Feb 22, 2016 -> 04:07 AM) Edge and Christian segment way too long for a PPV. This has been a regular Raw episode so far
  15. The lack of selling the submission move by Charlotte was insulting
  16. Well this game quickly changed. Groce really should be gone, but it sounds like he's safe
  17. Wisconsin is having some of the worst bricks I have seen all year. Nigel Hayes hasn't made a shot in over 50 minutes of game time. Illinois in good shape for the win.
  18. A potential fit is Coghlan if the Cubs end up bringing back Fowler.
  19. Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeyman 1m1 minute ago Chisox seem to be considering adding OF. May prefer one than can play some CF. A-jax perhaps, and if they'll spend, fowler
  20. Jon HeymanVerified account ‏@JonHeyman 3m3 minutes ago Indians seem to be considering Austin Jackson. Other possibilities include chisox, angels, milw, maybe Texas (low on $ tho)
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 19, 2016 -> 09:26 PM) I think LaRoche will bounce back a bit. Avi is a problem, but if he plays every day, at some point, his numbers will look great, like they did in May last year. Still want to know who plays DH vs LHP. Absolutely cannot put LaRoche into that spot.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 19, 2016 -> 09:23 PM) If Saladino fields his position well, he sure can be a starting SS on a contending team. He is also a great baserunner. Steamer projects an 80 wRC+, when the Sox won the WS, Uribe put up an 84. Back in the Sox heyday in the early 90s Ozzie was averaging about a 75. If he is anywhere near as good of defensive SS as he showed at 3B, he isn't going to have to hit much to be valuable. Saladino should be fine as a starter, but on a contending team he should probably be your worst starting player. The path to him being better than Avi and LaRoche seems much clearer right now.
  23. QUOTE (The Gooch @ Feb 19, 2016 -> 08:42 PM) I wouldn't mind seeing more JB Ugh, why...he was below average in all 3 categories last year. He provides you absolutely no offense from the RF spot. MASSIVE fail by Hahn if Shuck gets more at bats this season.
  24. QUOTE (The Gooch @ Feb 19, 2016 -> 08:34 PM) I don't remember flashes from LaRoche.... I don't know about you, but JB Shuck and Jerry Sands are sure to push Avi and LaRoche for playing time
  25. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Feb 19, 2016 -> 09:25 PM) Rick Hahn: "As I sit here right now I think anyone in this division has a chance to win it. We certainly expect to contend for it." https://twitter.com/CST_soxvan/status/700776775509356544 Hahn: 'We expect guys like LaRoche and Avi [Garcia] over the course of the season to be the player they show flashes of being.' https://twitter.com/CST_soxvan/status/700777069853052928 Reinsdorf must be proud of his awful GMs. Nothing like lack of urgency due to the loyalty of the boss.
