fathom

Makes it look so easy with his curve. You think after nearly two years, they would stop calling for so many fastballs.

QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Aug 11, 2016 -> 04:51 AM) Man, the pen is taxed. Such a streaky pen. Once it blows a game in a series, it seems they blow another one.

Time to remove Robertson from closer spot. Maybe someone will claim him off waivers. Might as well make Burdi the closer.

Robertson's fastball command is god awful this year. Really wish they had him throw more 3-2 hooks

Haha good for Anderson. Better news is we don't have to hear Kansas City Special

Yuck....Anderson has been exposed big time since the ASB.

Got Mondesi at least. Hit a bomb Timmy

Walking Escobar? Come on He literally has the worst offensive fWAR in baseball this year for qualified hitters

QUOTE (chisoxt @ Aug 11, 2016 -> 04:08 AM) I'm putting Nate Jones in third place on the most disappointing Sox after Abreu and Rodon Why's that? He's had a solid season. Great peripherals....probably one of the better players on the team.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 11, 2016 -> 04:03 AM) That's our team motto under Robin. Seriously is there any excuse for what we just witnessed on the field? A routine fly to center and tagging up at first?? You gotta be bleeping me. Embarrassing. Just playing out the stretch. Hope for no injuries and Abreu to keep it going. This team has no chance the next few years if he stinks.

Nice coaching there

Omar keeps having good at bats. Sanchez is just a horrible baseball player.

Nice Frazier!

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 10, 2016 -> 03:02 AM) Escobar is a first pitch swinger... NOTORIOUS... So Robertson throws him a strike. Game tied All these coaches need to be let go the second this season ends. They are a big reason the AL Central kicks the Sox ass.

Not that winning or losing matters, but it's insane how much Robertson has been burned on his fastball this year. Simply horrible pitch selection with him on the mound.

Another collapse by sox bullpen at KC. Thank god we kept Robertson for no reason

Phelps race ended in time to see if Robertson blows it

QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 10, 2016 -> 02:33 AM) Benintendi is Don Mattingly. Dude is for real. Yep sucks the Sox couldn't get him in a deal. Moncada has a chance to be an MVP also

QUOTE (The Mighty Mite @ Aug 10, 2016 -> 01:09 AM) Where did Chris Sale go? Not the same guy we saw early in the year. This could be a disaster of a road trip. Keeps throwing 92-94 fastballs right down the plate. That's fine, no reason to overthrow sliders the rest of this season.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 7, 2016 -> 07:17 PM) This is not meaningful. Any game where you enter down by 8 runs is not meaningful. In recent weeks he had though

5.79 ERA as a reliever and still on the roster getting meaningful appearances. That's something the old Rockies used to do

Shields just give up like 13 runs in last 2 innings?

QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Aug 7, 2016 -> 07:44 PM) The entire scouting department needs to fired. It's painfully obvious that Shields has absolutely nothing left. I'm sure the Padres front office was stunned when the Sox called asking about him explaining why they traded him so early. They would have taken literally anything to get out of any portion of Shield's horrific contract Same scouting dept that thought he would be a good fit at the Cell. I honestly think the Sox have the worst GM and Manager combo in baseball

QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Aug 7, 2016 -> 06:43 PM) Shields helping out the Orioles cause so far early on in this one. Hahn needs to be fired so badly

Shame on Hahn for not getting out of Shields' contract if there were takers
