  1. QUOTE (dpd9189 @ Aug 15, 2015 -> 12:40 AM) Too many guys LOB today, not going to win that way. Yep, and almost all strikeouts. Biggest out of the game was Abreu striking out with them loaded against Hendricks, who had nothing.
  2. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Aug 15, 2015 -> 12:36 AM) Another subpar effort from Ventura/Cooper. Madden uses his pen. Ventura/Cooper make damn sure that starter gets 6 and 100+ Yea, Ventura should worry about celebrations. That's the ticket to baseball success. Maddon's been managing every game for the last 10 days like it's a playoff game.

Absolutely disappointing...I also hate Cleveland and Boston for sucking so much vs the Sox at the end of July.
  4. At this point, it seems rather certain Cubs will make the playoffs. Just have to hope Cardinals keep winning.
  5. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 08:33 PM) I'd love for the Cubs to win one day just for the party in Wrigleyville. I hate you again like it's 2005
  6. Just saw the Strop celebration. I'll be disappointed if a message isn't sent by Ventura tomorrow. What a total scumbag.
  7. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 11:33 PM) Let's keep batting Adam LaSuck tomorrow. He's earned it. We'll get 1 hit, and that one runner will get picked off by Ross.
  8. QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 11:32 PM) the Cubs are good but also have a horseshoe up their asses this year. How many 1 run games have they won? Run differential is closer to a team 7-8 wins above .500, not almost 20 Their bullpen has been great lately, especially since they got rid of Soriano. Maddox's always been an unbelievable manager in terms of using his bullpen.
  9. Rick Hahn should be proud of this mediocre team he's put together. The difference in GM/Manager between the Cubs and Sox is sickening.
  10. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 11:16 PM) So that makes Tyler 1 for 16 with 2 runners on. So we got that going for us. Sounds like ideal number 2 hitter that they won't hit an run with
  11. That was also where you need someone on the bench that bats lefty to hit for Saladno
  12. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 11:46 PM) LaRoche is indescribably bad Needs to retire
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 11:43 PM) Cub bullpen is shaky at best. It's been outstanding last two months
  14. Now we are into good part of Cubs pen. I hate Samardzija
  15. If Avi faces Richard, it has all the makings of a line drive homer to RF
  16. Wow, I need to walk away from my tv/computer more often!
  17. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 09:23 PM) Nah remember...Kenny has Hahn tied to a chair while using his phone to sign these guys. I just looked up Chris Bassitt's numbers on the season for the first time. I shouldn't have done that
  18. Schwarber's had 17 full counts in his big league career, and he's reached base 15 times
  19. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 09:21 PM) Looks like that time off for Adam paid off Stay hot Hahn
  20. Just stop playing LaRoche. Put Trayce in RF and DH Avi.
  21. QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 09:15 PM) he cost himself a lot of money with the way he's pitched this year. Guy came in with a huge chip on his shoulder and has pitched like s***. Goddamn peavy reincarnated No more Notre Dame a-holes!
  22. QUOTE (Yoda @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 10:14 PM) Anyone else feel like John Danks would be doing better if he would have started today? To be fair, this Cubs offense is destroying everyone of late.
  23. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 10:12 PM) Seriously this asshole comes out and says the team is just fine and we can compete for a Wild Card. Then pitches like garbage. As much as I like his offense, it's getting to the point where if Soto is catching, the pitcher is going to do bad.
  24. Samardzija has been a complete bust. It's getting to the point that I don't think you can risk giving him a 15 million dollar option to re-establish his value.
