  1. QUOTE (southside hitman @ May 13, 2015 -> 03:58 PM) I'm not questioning the ceiling, he's incredibly talented. I question the decision to throw him into the fire when he obviously needed refinement on defense and on the base paths. Not sure what the best course of action is now. Especially with his track record suggesting he needed a year to get comfortable at a level, and then he would dominate that level. He never got the chance to dominate in AAA. With his defense being so poor, his offense doesn't do enough to offset it. I think he'll be a very good big league player in time, but it's looking like they rushed him to the big league level.
  2. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 13, 2015 -> 03:37 PM) On an unrelated sidenote, I have finally grown to accept the fact that if we lose tomorrow, Thibs is gone and should be gone. I think Thibs is a great coach but I also think this whole situation wears on the players and everyone so if JR is going to pick the front office, then let them get the coach that they want. I just hope they don't mess up a good thing, cause this team is loaded and should actually get better (part of that is because I am buying into Drose and I obviously think highly of Butler / Nikolai. I also hope Noah can be better (with an off-season to rest). Key is going to be finding another big though to develop since our bigs are older. Isn't Hoiberg known to be a very good offensive coach?
  3. I know his peripherals aren't awful, but it's disappointing to see how much worse Strasburg's stuff is since he debuted.
  4. Great recovery by Sale after the first inning. Let's win a 3rd straight series tomorrow
  5. Bryant is an OBP machine, and now he's homered in 3 of 4 games.
  6. Nice Abreu, and great announcing by Stone
  7. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ May 13, 2015 -> 03:43 AM) Melky is a LHB that is all. OPS around .200 vs LHP
  8. He's hit some balls hard, but Melky's left a small village on the bases lately. He needs a blooper to drop.
  9. Finally got a break on a bunt, and then more bad base running.
  10. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 13, 2015 -> 02:19 AM) He has a lot of work left to do but he has tools to be good. Still young, I have a lot of hope for him Next step is being able to hit fastballs from RHP.
  11. Avi's turning into a great offspeed pitch, hitter
  12. Can't be stutter stepping into first. Nice play though
  13. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 13, 2015 -> 02:03 AM) I thought for sure there would be a pitch hitter.. Hmmm Less than 90 pitches with a tired bullpen = no way
  14. Oh yay, pitchers get to hit in the NL
  15. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 13, 2015 -> 01:41 AM) Good riddance Thibs you f***ing hack. Great defense, preschool offense. He's literally 0 for at least 15 on must have baskets on offense this series. So f***ing terrible. It's been interesting hearing Boers and Bernstein guarantee he won't last 5 years at his next job.
  16. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ May 13, 2015 -> 01:39 AM) just don't let it be hoiberg it will be
  17. Wow, thought for sure Avi hit that one out.
  18. QUOTE (Condor13 @ May 13, 2015 -> 01:35 AM) God I hate flowers so f***ing much, you don't throw three sliders in a row split by a wasted f***ing pitch high Two sliders, then two fastballs, then two sliders....nothing wrong with that sequence
  19. Ugh, forced that shot like there was 3 seconds on the shot clock.
  20. Telling you, Jimmy is an incredible clutch 3 pt shooter.
