  1. Nice Micah! 5 of last 6 guys have made real nice contact.
  2. Flowers looking real good the last two games.
  3. Get some gifts and still can't score. Not one of Conor's better swings.
  4. QUOTE (Condor13 @ May 13, 2015 -> 01:52 AM) What are you watching, he took a strike on a 3-0 count, fouled off 2 borderline pitches and took ball 4 (at least that pitch was called a ball for sale) for strike 3. A rather good ab for him and the sox The 3-1 pitch was above the zone and the 3-2 pitch after that was face high
  5. Johnson swung at ball 4 twice then took strike 3
  6. QUOTE (Condor13 @ May 13, 2015 -> 01:29 AM) Connor and Flowers have to go before Micah There are no viable replacements for those two. There is currently a better player in Charlotte playing Micah's position
  7. Is it true that Johnson is statistically the 2nd worst defensive player in baseball?
  8. And Johnson drops the throw on easy out. His defense is so bad, they almost have no choice but to send him down.
  9. Another error on Conor. Team struggling again out of the gates.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 12, 2015 -> 09:28 PM) This is pretty simple really. Leave him in the minors in his starting role until he is ready to pitch all season in the majors. This team is going nowhere. Let him develop then next season when we have a whole new core of key players after the firesale we'll have a good 3 of Sale, Q and Rodon. He's in the rotation now....after the dust settled, the Sox made what seems to be the smart choice. I'd much rather he take his lumps at the MLB level learning how to get big league hitters out instead of dominate AAA hitters based on his stuff. I'm sure they'll skip some rotation turns for him going forward.
  11. QUOTE (raBBit @ May 12, 2015 -> 10:25 PM) Jay is not in the bullpen because he can't hang in the rotation and college coaches don't use size as a rationale for what to do with a player like MLB organizations do. They have a player for three years and they are trying to win as many games as possible. Not to mention U of I's coach is getting flamed for his treatment of Jay. In any case, I trust the Sox not to take a pitcher who they don't think will be a starter in the MLB at #8. If they took Jay, it would be with the intention to mold him as a starter and take advantage of an arm with less mileage. It's an interesting situation comparing T. Jay and Fulmer. Almost everyone thinks Jay can become a starter, while many have doubts about Fulmer being a starter in the pros. I watched some video of Jay, and his breaking ball was very good. Does he throw a change-up?
  12. There were some very good signs from the offense (mainly, Eaton remembering the season started). Just have to get the pitching to at least put up decent numbers to give the offense a chance.
  13. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 12, 2015 -> 02:30 AM) http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-white-s...ng-projections/ Scroll down to the images I remember seeing that article and thinking how even though Danks isn't counting towards days on the DL since he returned, he still seems like someone who basically had their career ended in a way due to the injury.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 12, 2015 -> 02:27 AM) I'm in. This org has been a cancer since 2013 and every trace of anything around at that time needs eradicated. I would hope that after this season, the following are long gone from this organization: - Ventura - Bell - Cooper Cooper probably isn't bad at his job like the other two are, but I think it's time for a new voice with the pitching.
  15. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 12, 2015 -> 02:26 AM) Cooper's (probable) ability to keep pitchers healthy is a big advantage to the Sox and probably outweighs his coaching in terms of importance. I'm kind of sceptical of the impact of pitching/hitting coaches in general. Has he kept them healthy though, outside of Sale/Q? Floyd and Danks both had catastrophic injuries, and Peavy was injured a lot during his time here.
  16. QUOTE (GreenSox @ May 12, 2015 -> 02:26 AM) 3 days in a row, the 3rd against a team that knows him best, doesn't help. And one of those games was 1.2 innings
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 12, 2015 -> 02:26 AM) Dude, 8 posts before that. Yeah, but I don't count, as I would fire everyone
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 12, 2015 -> 03:23 AM) I love how even at this point nobody even brings up Coopers name as someone to fire. Another year of underachieving pitching. It's definitely time for a change. They've put so many resources into the pitching staff, and they are performing just horribly.
  19. Sox pitchers are next to last (Colorado) in terms of batting average against. That's just ridiculous.
  20. Can they fire Don Cooper please? This team just can't pitch on the road
  21. Hey, I love Flowers behind home plate. He calls a great game.
  22. Well, good thing they played for the tie last inning.
  23. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 12, 2015 -> 03:16 AM) f*** this. Hahn's moves keep getting worse
