  1. Hell of a managing job by Ventura today
  2. Pitch around Cabrera with VMart out of the game
  3. This is an impressive meltdown by Robertson
  4. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 08:57 PM) Trade Robertson now. No one would take him with this bloated contract
  5. Come on Robertson, falling in love with his fastball
  6. Bad, bad pitch selection to Sanchez. He's shown the last few games he can turn on offspeed pitches.
  7. Wow, mazel tov Sanchez! Way to shut us up
  8. Awful day for Jose...looks like he's never seen an offspeed pitch
  9. I'm happy they didn't pitch Duke in the 8th, as he's only a LOOGY now...but jeez, what a stupid contract
  10. Flowers seems to be absolutely terrible at blocking pitches in the dirt this year. It's one of those things that hurts the ERA of the pitchers when they aren't exactly getting stellar defense behind/in front of them.
  11. Sanchez reaches base!
  12. Petricka needs a strikeout pitch
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 07:06 PM) I think Rodon has done fine, I just would love to see the walks come down. Thing is, if he had good command, he would have been no doubt the #1 pick.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 07:03 PM) It is waste of time to be stressing about Rodon at this point. He could be pitching in double A, and putting up numbers there. The kid is already in the show, and is still holding his own. Him, Sale and Robertson are probably the only 3 players on this team I'm not concerned about.
  15. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 06:59 PM) I know that but he is not even close with a lot of pitches, not like he is just off the plate. Fastball command is the biggest area for improvement for Rodon. His slider is already well above average.
  16. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 06:58 PM) It's not really fair to compare college hitters to MLB hitters. MLB hitters have way more patience and are 100X better overall. How many college hitters could hit/lay off his world class slider?
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 06:57 PM) Exactly. He's learning on the fly. He'll get his 140 major league innings this year with an ERA around 4, and then he'll get better next year, and the year after. I've been impressed with him this year. He already can compete at this level, and he had very little refinement time.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 07:41 PM) LaRoche swinging 3-0 turns it into a double and RBI. Nice managing
  19. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 06:24 PM) Once again conor makes a throwing error on an easy ass routine play. This guy is f***ing horrible in the field Not sure how much longer they can keep him out there.
  20. QUOTE (shysocks @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 06:47 PM) NL Pitchers: .128/.153/.158 Sanchez: .159/.207/.204 Fun fact - AL pitchers are actually hitting better than NL pitchers this season. Thanks!
  21. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 06:41 PM) I am to lazy and really don't care all that much but didn't he give up three or four runs early in his last outing vs our White Sox only to settle down and breeze through 7 innings? Yep, Avi 3 run homer in the first
  22. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 06:38 PM) So basically he hits weak ground outs to the middle of the diamond, doesn't drive the ball, strikes out too much and doesn't run well. I looked, but couldn't find stats for the typical NL pitcher that hits. Any idea how Sanchez compares?
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 05:34 PM) 3rd time this year. And there's been a few that have been booted that should have been an easy DP. Given his 57% ground ball ratio, it's worth the shot trying to open up another hole for him. He needs all the help he can get.
  24. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 05:30 PM) Easy double play. Sanchez has to go already Whenever he's up with a man on first, you need to do a hit and run. If not, that's going to happen way too often.
