  1. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 07:19 PM) Yeah, it's amazing we have won 3 games in a row with the way we have played Blaine Boyer's been our MVP. But yes, this team better start hitting and fielding going into Detroit, as they have a lineup full of guys that are on fire early.
  2. QUOTE (shysocks @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 07:19 PM) Top of the order really needs to get its collective act together. Give Eaton the day off against Price
  3. No walks combined for Eaton/Melky so far this year.
  4. This team needs to do a better job of adjusting to the strike zone.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 07:10 PM) Even after the 3 k's today, .292 2 hr 5 rbi in 8 games Not bad. It was less than 72 hours ago, Robin was an idiot pinch hitting for Soto. The hitting has been good, it's the defense that has been disappointing from the two. Flowers looks like he's using a glove that not's broken in yet.
  6. QUOTE (kapzk @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 07:03 PM) Hat trick for Soto I always love going on baseball reference and seeing his OPS jump from .739 as a 23 year old in Iowa (AAA) to 1.076 as a 24 year old in Iowa
  7. That will be it for Bauer. They'll probably bring in a LHP to start the 7th, so hopefully it will be Bonifacio batting for Johnson.
  8. Nice rally this inning to get it into a bloop/blast range
  9. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 06:57 PM) down 4 runs we are swinging away 3-0. This team is just dumb. Just making some very dumb decisions. Everyone seems to be pressing.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 06:56 PM) So for 2 April starts as a rookie, you are willing to trade April, May, June, July, August, September and any postseason starts when he is 28 or 29? In what is looking to be two starts where the offense didn't show up, and the Sox would have lost no matter how well Rodon pitched
  11. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 05:52 PM) How many errors by Gillaspie this season so far? 3? 4
  12. 3rd base is looking like a liability this year with Gillaspie being a horrible fielder. He doesn't provide enough power to make up for that.
  13. QUOTE (Dunt @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 06:44 PM) Not saying they cant make a run later in the season, but they can't be throwing away games like this 2 out of every 5 games. agreed, Danks has done nothing to earn a starting spot
  14. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 05:42 PM) FFS this is not putting me in a good mood at the office. Yep, hate when they lose day games
  15. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 05:40 PM) this defense is BRUTAL. All it's missing is Ian Desmond.
  16. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 05:39 PM) This is not true. It has also been detailed many times on the site. He can come up this weekend and Sox control his rights for 7 ML seasons (Including this one). I know I should know this, but when he comes up this year, the Sox will control his rights for 6 full seasons after this one?
  17. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 06:30 PM) Here is McDaniel's detailed update: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-interna...-market-part-1/ Says that the White Sox are believed to have an agreement with 6'3 235 pound RF Franklin Reyes for $1.4 million. Looks like the Cubs will be extremely active again. I wish the White Sox would use the same strategy. I only saw two linked to the Cubs
  18. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 05:35 PM) It looks like he's trying to to what Eaton does but you gotta have very good bat control. Not sure Micah does. I'd really like to see him try and pull the ball more. He could develop decent power. Of course in my world he'd probably be down in AAA working on that. Yeah, he swings all arms
  19. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 06:32 PM) Something about the combo of Micah's stance and how far he's off the plate that doesn't look like he's in a good position to hit. Completely agree...seems like he's going to have a very difficult time catching up to fastballs. Seems like he'll be more dangerous against finesse pitchers.
  20. QUOTE (Dunt @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 06:31 PM) Why not walk Chisenhall there to load the bases? No confidence in Danks being able to get out of the inning with minimal damage? He's now 4-4 in his career off of Danks. I guess Roberto Perez scared them more.
  21. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 06:27 PM) John Danks is not a MLB caliber starter the sooner everyone (including the Sox) realize it the better. If it wasn't for his contract and Rodon's service time he'd already be cut imo. Meanwhile, Shane Greene looks damn good as a #4 starter for the Tigers. They have made some under the radar, awesome acquisitions the last few years
  22. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 06:26 PM) Well the John Danks having good stuff fun last all of one game. Last game? He was getting hit pretty hard vs KC.
  23. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 06:25 PM) And....we've been Danks'ed. Keep having the feeling Rodon's going to take his spot, as the Sox will have no other choice but to make him the long man. He's just not starting caliber anymore.
  24. Can't allow both to score here, as getting 3 will be difficult today.
