Way to go Dunn! I don't hate them as much

QUOTE (shysocks @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 05:52 PM) Eaton BB Eaton SB Melky XBH Melky RBI Firsts! Great to see

I don't think Swanson will be available at 8, especially with Kirby slipping.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 06:38 PM) This covers the situation for me. But how hilarious of a spectacle was yesterday? My god. Bryant strikes out in three pitches. Strikes out a couple more times. Gets a chance late, fails. Cubs get an early lead on a beautiful day, blow it. That was the most Cubby scenario possible. They are the MLB's Cleveland Browns times two. He'll be a great hitter, but it's funny how he made one good catch and they made it seem like he had the greatest defensive game in history.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 05:47 PM) Micah is a trip on defense. Anytime the ball is near him I get nervous. His stint up here isn't going to take long. He needs to prove he can dominate in AAA, as he's been someone that seems to take a year per level.

Speaking of baseball gods, we're not exactly getting to face Jason Marquis this week or next. By next Wednesday, the Sox will have faced: Hughes, Carrasco, Bauer, Price, Sanchez, Greene, Carrasco, Bauer, Kluber I can't remember the last time we faced so many good starters in a row without a breather.

QUOTE (beautox @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 06:38 PM) god damn this offense is hard to stomach. I would absolutely love for balta or DA to throw this in my face in October after the Sox win the World Series, but I hate this Sox team so far. Nothing worse than a boring team that plays stupid and lacks energy. They're digging themselves into a hole that might be too big to get out of in the division.

Alexei "first pitch out" Ramirez

Not that it mattered, but how about another fundamental error with Sale not being directly behind the catcher?

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 05:34 PM) It was actually a closer play then I thought it would be. And like I said, Cabrera doesn't take 2nd if Flowers catches the ball, plain and simple. It's almost like Flowers has the yips in terms of catching the ball. Even on pitches that are strikes, he's been dropping a lot of them. I said it last week, but it's almost like he's trying to break in a new glove.

With VMart struggling, probably is a good idea to stop letting Miggy beat us.

This Tigers lineup from 2-6 is just awesome. Dumbrowski's done a great job of getting Cabrera some protection, and their hitting coach deserves a ton of credit.

QUOTE (daggins @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 06:28 PM) Well, good game guys, see you tomorrow. Can we pray for rain tomorrow?

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 05:27 PM) You could catch the ball Flowers. Why start now?

Ugh, hate letting him beat us

This just keeps getting more irritating. The Sox keep making it look like it was a really complex play. When it doubt in that situation, challenge it! http://www.csnchicago.com/white-sox/ventur...e-all-missed-it

Just have to laugh at this

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 06:14 PM) Of course. Can't even put the ball in play This team does so many things wrong. Dunn's got to put that ball in play.

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 04:05 PM) When Beckham makes an all star game, then he can talk. He's a bench player. I don't need his canned answer bulls*** on the state of a broken team. Merkin went to him for comments though, it's not like Beckham went on a radio show and made these comments unprovoked.

I see nothing wrong with what Beckham said. Don't forget that PK is his role model, and this sounds exactly like what PK would have said.

Jose Paniagua needs to be on this

Another triple for Orlando to give KC a late lead. Ugh, things keep getting worse.

Ian Happ is someone that I would like the Sox to pick. Would be a good fit to take over for Melky when his deal is done.

QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 17, 2015 -> 11:45 PM) Realistically, what are the odds Ventura is fired before, say, July? June? August? Does anyone think we'd actually let him go? Something I found interesting is that some of the Chicago media members that always preach patience and small sample size were on the radio Wednesday blasting Ventura for the Eaton decision. It's easily the earliest in a season I've heard criticism towards him on the radio.

I want someone that would be a real firecracker in the dugout. Thus, Vince Coleman it is!
