Nice Adam! Rios is .162 with RISP this year.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 10:04 PM) Critical or who/m or what exactly? Ventura? The players? Manto? Almost every play, he's being critical of the approach or mindset of the Sox player.

Rios has quietly been awful of late

I don't think I've ever heard Hawk and Stone be this critical.

I've seen Keppinger play a lot in his career, and he was never this much of a stiff. You have to wonder how much the injury in the offseason has impacted him physically.

Nice agility Keppinger, ha. Quintana's offspeed pitches are horrendous today.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 08:51 PM) He needs to pull the ball to the right side of the infield and try to advance the runner. You could hit into a DP, but that's the normal baseball perspective on hitters who aren't 3-4-5 guys in the line-up. No, you need to try and hit the ball hard. He did, but just right at the left fielder.

Don't worry, we get Felix and Iwakuma vs Seattle

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 09:42 PM) Of course, with the way this season's going, it would only end up with a swing-and-a-miss wipeout of the runner at 2nd by 10-15 feet. As opposed to the likely 6-4-3 DP with Keppinger up

QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 08:39 PM) Yes, Gillaspie has been very good. He's going to be a serviceable player. Actually De Aza looked good last year too. He's been a train wreck. More than anything, the Sox need to draft and develop a star offensive player. Hopefully soon. Gillaspie is a solid player, but on a good team he's likely a 7 or 8 hitter. For what we gave up for him, it was a great acquisition. Hawk and Stoney are extremely pissed off today.

They should be doing a hit-and-run every chance they get with Keppinger up to bat and a runner on base. Have to stop sitting around waiting for a 3 run homer on this team with average power.

Another sterling interview by Dan Hayes.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 09:30 PM) The dire predictions of under 1.2 million in attendance (with a Astros/Cubs/Marlins full rebuild) might be on their way to happening THIS YEAR if the current trend continues. Stop with this. That would mean trading the likes of Sale, and you know that's not going to happen.

So now Hawk is blaming the offense sucking this week on Samardzija dominating the Sox last Monday, sending them into a funk.

Quintana making some brutal pitches with 2 strikes so far. This team is so incredibly flat this week. Changes have got to be made soon.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 08:17 PM) This team can score runs and hit. We just need to Dunn far far away from those situations... preferably on the bench. They can?

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 09:16 PM) Dunn must be an idiot . The very pitch he should be looking for (soft stuff away), he doesn't seem to be ready for. Granted that pitch was a ball . P K's. You don't hit .150 2 of out 3 years in the majors by having a good plan at the plate.

QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 08:16 PM) Well our manager is a complete idiot...thats the only way to explain this He's not an idiot, he just seems to have no strategy for how to try and push different buttons.

Wow, Dunn and Konerko missed strike 3 by a foot. Don't worry Robin, they'll snap out of this eventually.
-
6/1 - Sox at A's
I can't believe Dunn's batting 4th in a lineup in 2013 that's not an Independent League team.
-
5/31 - Sox at A's
Is someone from the Chicago media going to write a stupid article stating that Colon is more of an ace than Sale is cause of this game?
-
5/31 - Sox at A's
Beckham would have contributed 4 runs

It is crazy to think how different this team will look a year from now.
