GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
Does Ventura have any idea that Jose Lopez is a much better hitter vs LHP than Hudson?

GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 11:01 PM) For some reason I have faith in the Royals. They sure seem to be treating it like it's their World Series.

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 09:47 PM) That is inconceivably horrible. That also doesn't take into consideration all the times that they couldn't get a runner home from 3rd with less than 2 outs.

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 09:45 PM) Players follow the money. Yep, Adam Dunn supposedly wanted to play for the Cubs, but since they didn't offer him a contract, he decided to play for the Sox.

Sox are 24 for their last 139 with RISP. Nice .173 average

GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
Wise slumping a bit now. His swings haven't looked good the last two nights. 0-6 with RISP today.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 09:32 PM) Viciedo's been awful for the past two months. Put it this way....if the Sox feel like De Aza has to move to LF because he can't play CF adequately enough, I have no problem with the Sox using Viciedo (along with someone like Quintana) to bring in a starting 3b or starting pitcher, etc.

GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 09:31 PM) People are focusing on one awful game from Viciedo. The ones that hurt don't mean more than the ones that don't...and he has had a good September for his standards. He's been awful against RHP for so damn long. I mentioned this the other day, but basically all his damage this month was off of Diamond and Chen. The problem is his focus in the outfield has been really bad this last week as well.

GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 09:30 PM) Some of us here underestimated the Angles. Pronounced them dead, when this series had sweep written all over it. They're just playing with a ton of energy/swagger. Given the offense going to hell for the Sox, this was a terrible match-up this weekend against a good lineup.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 10:29 PM) OMG Viciedo knocked a run in. Just another hitless AB with RISP

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 10:29 PM) Manto, probably. With the gigantic leash they gave Walker, it would be shocking if they let Manto go.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 10:27 PM) Look at the bright side: it's not like the Rays are hot right now But people will say the Sox swept them earlier in the year, even though that was without Longoria.

GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 10:24 PM) What a choke job. If the offense keeps this crap up for the next 10 games, it will be interesting if there's a scapegoat.

GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
BTW, that inning all started cause Gavin used his crappy cutter on 4 straight pitches to walk Trout. None of that damage came on his curve that inning.
-
GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
Cleveland's scored as many runs today as the Sox have scored all week.

QUOTE (JoshPR @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 10:21 PM) Game calling awful, f*** this s*** Flowers should have started either last night or today.

GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
Gavin doing his best Javy Vazquez impression this inning. Angels are flat out just a much better, more talented team.

GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
QUOTE (JoshPR @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 10:20 PM) f*** dumb ass in left f***s it up again, farmer just livid at AJ's game calling, can't wait till he's gone No idea why Viciedo just hasn't been permanently benched (outside of facing LHP). He sucks at the plate and his defense has been awful of late as well.

GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
6 innings, no runs against Weaver with the worst stuff he's ever had against the Sox.
-
GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
Youk doesn't look healthy at all. It's amazing to me how pull happy he's become.
-
GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
Gavin keeping us in this game! Come on Sox, hit a home run.
-
GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
This offense is just awful right now. Still not sure why De Aza wasn't in the lineup, as he's one of the few guys who's produced this week. Viciedo also has to stop chasing those offspeed pitches off the plate early in the count and swinging at them like he has 2 strikes on him.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 08:21 PM) He made up for it Yep, that's why he's awesome

Peppers with a terrible penalty there.

Chicago White Sox @ LAAA California Angels playing in Anaheim.
QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 23, 2012 -> 03:59 AM) He's getting as stubborn as Ozzie. Tomorrow will probably also be the weaker lineup. Weaver dominates lefties. Only lefties in the lineup tomorrow will probably be De Aza and Dunn.
