  1. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 03:05 AM) so with what rizzo did to the sox, you want them to win? I'm sure we'll never know the whole story.
  2. I'd like to see the Nats trade for Denard Span. If they can find a way to keep Strasburg fresh for the postseason, there is no team with a better 1-2-3 in the postseason than they have with Strasburg, Gio and Zimmerman.
  3. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 03:36 AM) WhyTF is there a Miami Marlins thread? Where's the Pirates thread? The Marlins thread should be called Trolling for Greg. People know where Greg's weakness is and they blame him for their exploitation. Major Yawn. Greg can't let it go and a majority of members don't want him to either. (mods included) I've actually thought of suggesting a thread for each individual team.
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 03:17 AM) Liriano continuing to improve his trade value. Hopefully he gets traded soon and misses the start vs the Sox next Monday.
  5. QUOTE (Caesar @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 03:11 AM) Wish I wouldve been wrong. Offense gave up after the first. At least Dallas was good tonight. Didn't realize they didn't get a hit after the 2nd batter of the 2nd inning. Overmatched tonight, time for Q to excel tomorrow.
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 02:10 AM) About the only positive is it keeps Berry out of the line-up... Only against the tough lefty, they've been playing both in the OF with Jackson of late.
  7. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 03:09 AM) Tigers winning. Today was definitely one of those days I would have been content with Sox losing as well as Tigers lost. Gotta find a way to win tomorrow or have the struggling Jerome Williams find a way to beat the Tigers and go into the weekend series at least up 2.5 games.
  8. I've missed a few games, but when's the last time Beckham pulled a ball?
  9. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 02:57 AM) Sox down 10-1, Tigers win 7-2, Indians come back from 4-0 to lead 8-4. Eff this night. Monday was awful, Tuesday was great, Wednesday was awful....Thursday should be great!
  10. Boesch and Fister performing well is not what we want to see. Both have contributed a lot of late.
  11. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 01:57 AM) He will. He's not that bad guys, let's not get crazy. He may be a very valuable back of the rotation arm for us at some point. I've yet to see you say any player doesn't have a chance to be a contributor. If I'm Mr. Pessimism, you should be titled Mr. Optimism
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 03:14 AM) You suck at life Punto, 2 outs! It was 2006 I believe where he won a few games for the Twins against the Sox down the stretch.
  13. Nice change-up on the corner there. Watch the bunt with Punto.
  14. Omogrosso giving us some nice, quick innings of late.
  15. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 01:32 AM) I dont hate jones - he just is what he is - erratic. He's had a 6.10 ERA in June and has a 9.0 ERA in July. guy has talent, and is the best non-reed/thornton pen arm we have right now, but im not completely ready to consistently trust him in close games late More so than anything, I think we need another dependable arm down there just so that robin doesnt continue to wear the starters down You also need to be cautious about Crain staying healthy the rest of the year. You want to be proactive and avoid having to make a waiver deal.
  16. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 02:24 AM) I mean a guy like crain in addition to crain Yep, might be just as important to get a dependable righty as it is getting another starting pitcher. Helps to shorten the games and save some innings from our starters workload.
  17. Carlos Lee still loves Wrigley
  18. Hell of an effort by Humber tonight based on the box score. How has he looked?
  19. QUOTE (northside sawx @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 02:05 AM) Mitchell also continues his slide, big goose egg and the K trifecta... Should we end up trading him this month wed be selling and his lowest value arguably... Or would we be trading him while he still has some sort of value?
  20. It's going to be almost impossible to use Floyd as trade bait before the deadline with his injury (not that I think they would have traded him anyways).
