  1. Alexei's put together some of our best at bats this series. I'd love to see a hit and run here.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 02:07 AM) Come on fathom, let's be real here. You question every play. You will never see me question a bunt with 2 on, no outs with 3/4/5 coming up.
  3. Haha, the tennis volley works to right field! Rios, pretend it's Kershaw on the mound
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 01:03 AM) I could only imagine how a game would be played if you were manager. Of course, no play could ever be questioned and they would all be perfectly executed and timed. You know I've always hated giving up the first out to get the runner into 2nd base when you're still going to need a hit to score the runner.
  5. Great job by Dunn there. Come on PK, hit it in the air here with authority.
  6. Nice bunt by Beckham. Time for Dunn to make some contact.
  7. Really dumb idea to be bunting here, especially with the hole between 1st and 2nd.
  8. Really nice AB by Escobar. Time for De Aza to pick up his extra base pace.
  9. Alexei might never hit another homer. The epitome of warning track power this season.
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 12:43 AM) Or we'll be in 4th place by the end of next week. Still waiting for the Greg's head to explode show/performance later tonight. Coming to a website near you. Or the Sox can just win tonight
  11. Rios 0-12 since those ridiculous two games he had in LA
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 01:01 AM) START to struggle? have you been watching him all season? Struggle in tonight's game, I meant (referring to Masterson)
  13. 2-3 days Valverde will miss according to ESPN. Also, hopefully this causes him to start to struggle, but it looks like Masterson has found his ace stuff again.
  14. There's no doubt in my mind that last year's terrible and unlikable team has had an impact on the fan base. If the Sox can stay in contention all year, it would really help the excitement surrounding the organization.
  15. QUOTE (Andrew @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 04:46 AM) UD seats were $54 last night for second series vs Scrubs ($35 in 2005). I'll say it again - The Sox are Home Losers... Road Winners (at least so far). I don't wonder about a decrease "fanbase"....like at all..... It would be interesting to hear about TV ratings for the Sox games this year.
  16. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 04:35 AM) Maybe some have been duped. It very well could be this team is much closer to a 90 loss season than 90 wins and everything is coming back to earth. I wonder is new generations of fans have a loyalty at all costs. You have an owner and GM saying the team sucks because people don't show up. It's like saying the fans suck. So when is there a point where the fan says "screw you Jerry!", there are other teams to root for. I was looking at the attendance figures for 2005 during June, and the attendance is definitely down this month for the Sox compared to that month (both teams in first place during that month). It does make you wonder why there's been such a decrease in the fan base this season. I know, and respect, that many on here hate talking about attendance though.
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 05:09 AM) Greg, if you had Konerko, AJ and Buehrle along with our AAA/AA roster, what would the attendance be per game? Well, Buehrle is going to be an All-Star this year due to his 5-8 record and 3.82 ERA. It's going to be a tough call about whether or not he starts the ASG over Dickey.
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 04:56 AM) Trading Konerko, BTW is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. For what??? Three prospects? What prospects do you want and think you can get? If you get some damn good prospects (like what the Astros got for Pence last year), and then you turn around and use Konerko's money to bring in a quality starting pitcher this offseason, I'd be all for it. Like it or not, some of the bigger named Sox players are going to have to be traded if you want to build up the farm system while not trying to go into a full rebuilding mode.
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 04:39 AM) Maybe we could trade them our entire organization other than Sale for Matt Kemp! Can we get Uribe back as well. BTW, Uribe's name is autocorrected to urine on iphones. Also, I think flavum meant interesting and not exciting. I don't think too many people on this site think that trading players at the deadline is more exciting than contending for the playoffs all season, but I may be wrong.
  20. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 04:38 AM) As much as I respect PK, and would like to see him finish his career in a Sox uniform, in the right deal that he approves, you gotta pull the trigger. Absolutely, especially if they have to cut payroll for next year. It's too bad Dodgers have a mediocre farm system, last time I checked.
  21. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 03:33 AM) Not much to say about this team. It was fun for 16 games. Win...lose...I don't care. Actually, them losing a bunch in the next few weeks would make July exciting trade-wise. Yes it would, the only untouchable on the roster would be Sale. Dodgers would have to be very interested in Konerko and Peavy, as they have the money to spend.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 04:23 AM) In all fairness to Hudson, he's playing out of position. His pop up with the bases loaded an one out was at least close to as bad as his throw, and you can throw blame at him for that. All the mess ups at 3B, that's on KW and the White Sox. The guy isn't a thirdbaseman. Agree completely...he's Mackowiak 2.0
  23. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 03:17 AM) Yep indeed Peavy did call out Hudson What did he say?
