  1. I really hope that Ventura doesn't automatically bench AJ tomorrow, as the Sox need his bat in the lineup right now. AJ can get his rest on Tuesday against a LHP and then has Thursday off.
  2. Doug Fister's going all 2011 Doug Fister post ASB right now. Hopefully he starts getting rocked again.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 04:03 AM) Isn't that exactly what we did? We got through 4 innings with no runs scored and 4.1 innings with 1 run scored. Yeah, Ventura clearly is lacking in confidence in Reed right now. That's fine, I'm not upset with using Crain, Myers and Thornton. It was pitching to Kendrick with the open base that made zero sense.
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 04:03 AM) Should the Sox have picked up Lillibomb after Boston released him? NO
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 04:00 AM) Konerko needs to start hitting to the opposite field again. He did that with a lot of success a few weeks ago to get him out of his one month slump. He just needs to start hitting the ball hard again. It's not like he's hitting into bad luck right now.
  6. QUOTE (Caesar @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 03:58 AM) You gotta move Rios up to 3. KW better be active in trying to get another bat to strengthen the bench, as there are a lot of guys that could use a day off but the problem is the bench is just atrocious right now.
  7. QUOTE (Caesar @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 03:57 AM) Move him in the offseason Stop
  8. Ventura's decision loses the Sox the game. Hate to see that after they showed a lot of heart to comeback. Dunn, Viciedo, Konerko and Beckham are really struggling to do anything productive for over a week now.
  9. QUOTE (kapzk @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 02:54 AM) PK back to being bad 1 for his last 27, and he hasn't had a clutch hit late in the game for a few months now.
  10. Good game PK...not. Hopefully he is on the bench tomorrow.
  11. Kendrick hits .302 vs LHP, and Wells .190 against LHP. Can I protest that awful managerial decision?
  12. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 03:50 AM) Holy crap, Thornton got it up to 96! And still sucks
  13. QUOTE (Caesar @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 03:50 AM) There it is. Why not walk him? Terrible move by Ventura Yep, inexcusable
  14. Just terrible managing there pitching to Kendrick. So, why wasn't Reed pitching this inning?
  15. Walk Kendrick, go after Wells?
  16. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 03:43 AM) A high high pop up. So Hawk reacted like it was out?
  17. Has Reed been up in the pen?
  18. Dunn's close to going out?
  19. Lots of easy outs in Sox lineup right now. Need Aj, Ada and Rios to carry us
  20. I would love to know just how healthy Humber, Sale and Floyd are
  21. Sox with huge pitching issues right now. It's too bad they didn't get rid of Floyd at the deadline.
  22. Great article on "The Protest" http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1284836...ver-call-vs-cws
  23. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Aug 4, 2012 -> 05:27 AM) They saying its a bit ridiculous as well? They haven't even really discussed if it could possibly be overturned. More like Harold Reynolds is saying that typically every player in baseball runs inside the line when they hit a ball.
  24. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Aug 4, 2012 -> 05:26 AM) thought i saw too that they could overturn it if it drastically affected the outcome of the game. imo, it didnt. the angels had the lead and blew it and cmon, greinke was just bad in that inning. soscia is an idiot, get over it It's not like it would have been the third out of the inning anyways.
  25. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 4, 2012 -> 04:23 AM) It was a very s***ty throw by Ianetta If the umpires said they knew he was inside the line but it didn't impact the throw, then a protest seems ridiculous. MLB Network discussing the situation right now.
