Wasn't one of the main reasons KW could sign a lot of free agents (Dye, Hermanson, Iguchi, AJ) due to not being handcuffed by Carlos Lee's contract anymore?

Based on our love affair with Cal's baseball team last year, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Sox take Tony Renda with their 2nd pick of the draft.

I really liked the Modern Family season finale, outside of the stupid soap opera thing.

Hawk's been way better this year than previous years, in my opinion. The only complaint I've had about him is that all of his stories has stuff to do about players from his era. If the hardcore baseball fans on this board don't know 75% of the stuff he's referring to, I can't imagine what the general Sox audience thinks about the stories. I loved when Hawk talked about how he won't listed to satellite radio and other games on his drive home if the Sox lose. That's just like many on this board who don't like to watch highlights of the game if the Sox lose, etc.

I've convinced myself that Hudson's really going to be a positive contributor to the offense. I'm excited to see him get a lot of at bats down in the order.

That wasn't bad luck for Stewart against the Orioles. They were hitting him extremely hard, despite De Aza forgetting how to catch a fly ball. Hopefully this is the last game we have to watch EE play for a while. He tries hard at the plate, he just isn't a big league caliber hitter right now.

It's hard to judge how Stewart would fare as a starter based on how he pitches in a 9-1 game. He's doing a good job in his long reliever role, but any notion of starting him based on these innings is hard to get behind.
