  1. Soler's going to have a lot of suitors going after him like the Red Sox. Even before tonight, I wanted nothing to do with Cespedes.
  2. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 03:28 AM) I hate watching Chris Allen play. He seems like he'd be a perfect fit at GT where fathom could get pissed at him. Hate to say I told you so about Chris Allen
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 02:01 AM) You're not hearing much about how dominant the Big East is this year for a reason. Louisville yesterday? I'm not so sure that Syracuse's 2nd team isn't the 2nd best team in the Big East. Who's doing worse coaching this year, Dixon or Jay Wright?
  4. Bulls look dead tired so far tonight. Deng has been sluggish out there.
  5. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 04:17 AM) What individual performances in the Big 10 in the last decade are as good as that? It sounds like hyperbole but BP just dropped 43 points on phenomenal shooting numbers against the number 5 team in the country. EDIT: in conference play obviously Has there even been good enough players in the Big 10 the last decade to put up numbers like that? Michigan State not exactly a team that is lead by one superstar.
  6. QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 05:14 AM) I never watched him in high school. He's from somewhere in/near Chicago, isn't he? Whitney Young...was supposed to be a mega-stud
  7. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 05:14 AM) Fixed. The Big Ten is not special in this regard, which brings me to my next point. Baylor is underrated. After their win at K State there's no good explanation for having them below Kentucky and North Carolina in the rankings. Baylor should be #1 in the country, no doubt about it
  8. QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 05:10 AM) Seems that way. Thompson could turn into a stud though, he's so damn athletic. Did you see that ridiculous dunk on the inbounds pass he had against IU? Yeah, he's a sensational athlete, but after following him in high school, I never thought he'd turn into a consistent performer.
  9. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 05:10 AM) It's to the point where they're just not as good as we think they are. When Sullinger leaves the game they play like a freaking NIT team. It's bizarre. Their defense is awful outside of Craft. Sullinger's defense was really bad tonight. If Paul wasn't on fire, Leonard would have easily gone for 20+.
  10. QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 05:07 AM) Pretty sure no one expected Ohio State to lose twice in their first five conference games. They're getting absolutely nothing from their freshman class, are they? Similar to Illinois it seems.
  11. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 05:06 AM) Thought for sure Illinois would find a way to blow it. We all know Illinois fans are too mature and distinguished to storm the floor, right? Ha, of course not. That was awkward
  12. QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 04:04 AM) So, does this put Illinois back in the top 25? ya
  13. Thad might not want to foul Paul. Abrams is pretty bad at the line, probably should try to foul him.
  14. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 03:56 AM) Bury a three off the inbound, Brandon. Ha, nice call. Paul's an idiot though, could have gotten a T there after the block.
  15. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 03:57 AM) Not sideways like that. He moved into him. That's a blocking foul. Bertrand initiated almost all of the contact on that one. Same with the obvious charge they FINALLY called correctly on Sullinger.
  16. QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 03:56 AM) I should modify what I said. The reffing hasn't been terrible, as Jenks said the refs are letting them play. It just seems like the refs think they are in the NBA and letting some obvious stuff go. That's an excellent way to put it
  17. QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 03:53 AM) I've only been watching since there was 7:29 left, and this has been the case. Paul committed an obvious travel at the top of the key on that play (before he drew the foul) that wasn't called. You should have watched first 5 minutes or so. Leonard with a pretty blatant travel on the first bucket, IIRC. Tirico was still sleeping, so the announcers didn't mention it.
  18. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 03:52 AM) What are you talking about? This has been a great game for the officials. They can actually f***ing play instead of going possession for possession with a foul. Just saying Dakich is an idiot for saying that was a good charge call. The guy was totally moving. Some terrible non-calls, in my opinion. That charge is called 99% of the time by refs, no matter if guys is moving or not. Refs aren't smart enough to look anywhere else but at the offensive players left shoulder.
  19. Thad's decision to play Thompson so much here is very puzzling to me.
  20. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 03:47 AM) ugh, what a charge when the guy is moving. terrible call Dakich, you f***ing idiot Seriously, complaining with how this game's been called? It's been a joke. Of all the questionable calls tonight, that was one of the more obvious ones.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 03:34 AM) Dakich really believe William Buford is an All-American? He's playing horrible tonight. In my face
