  1. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 4, 2011 -> 02:39 AM) Are we that bad then? I admit I watched a game recently where it just seemed they had no energy at all. No drive. Yes, we're playing terrible baseball right now. No one seems to have a plan at the plate. Does Dunn really expect to get a 3-2 fastball with a base open? My great grandma could have predicted that slider...and she's been dead for 20 years.
  2. Screw this, I hope we get no hit every game we lose for the next two weeks if that's what we need for changes to happen.
  3. Sweet, Alexei chases the same 3-2 pitch that Beckham did. And shack, just trust me...Liriano has nothing on these pitches.
  4. Terrible AB for Morel, should have walked. His OBP is around .200 now
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 4, 2011 -> 02:27 AM) You're absolutely right, he has been terrible, and maybe he is terrible today (I'm at work, not watching), but don't make it sound as though this guy isn't capable of what he's doing right now... This is a shell of Liriano. I've been watching since the 2nd inning, and I don't think he's thrown consecutive pitches in the strike zone.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 4, 2011 -> 02:27 AM) After tommorrows game they head to spacious Safeco Field and face some pitcher named Felix on Friday At least it looks like we'll miss Weaver
  7. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 4, 2011 -> 02:25 AM) i just can't believe how this offense just can't get any momentum going. Free the Bridge
  8. Beckham chases ball 4 at the shoulders. Come on EJax, keep it close.
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 4, 2011 -> 02:19 AM) That's not exactly fair, and you're smart enough to know it. He's terrible right now (Liriano). He has no command, and has only made a few good pitches. As soon as someone gets on base for the Sox, it seems all patience goes away.
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 4, 2011 -> 02:14 AM) He's not exactly on either. Almost has thrown as many balls as strikes. Adam Dunn looks like Kotsay up there. No prayer vs lefties, lots of weak fly outs to left field, and some occasional power. No more excuses Adam...do something
  11. Haha, can't believe we're getting no hit again by one of the worst pitchers in baseball. Greg, you're doing a great job.
  12. Ugh, please never play Dunn again against a LHP with a good slider.
  13. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ May 4, 2011 -> 01:54 AM) We can only hope, and he's replaced with Dayan. He looks like he's just trying to make contact out there, nothing more... IMO, he's not a major league caliber hitter for a corner infielder.
  14. I just noticed Lillibridge isn't in the lineup. Free Lilli!
  15. Morel making Viciedo look like Rickey Henderson. It's mind-boggling how bad Morel's been at the plate.
  16. My prediction is Morel doesn't make the road trip, as he'll be flying to Charlotte.

    2011 TV Thread

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 3, 2011 -> 10:56 PM) Just finished the last episode of Friday Night Lights. Wow. Unreal I missed this series before. I've never seen a show make you care so much about almost all the characters, including supporting stars (ie: Billy Riggins)
  18. QUOTE (scenario @ May 3, 2011 -> 06:52 PM) Which.... makes absolutely no sense. Since any non-medical person who 'knew' this ahead of time was simply pulling a guess out of their ***... Which B&B do way too frequently IMO. They're great when discussing football/basketball... but seems to me like their sports IQ drops by 100 points when discussing baseball... so they resort to creating controversy to try and keep shows interesting. Boers said he was told that Thome's oblique injury was more serious than Sox were letting on. That very night, Thome took one swing and ended up missing a handful of games because his oblique injury was more severe than initially believed.
  19. Boers and Bernstein have great Sox sources. Heck, I feel like they knew Thome had a pulled oblique muscle a few years ago even before Herm did.
  20. It's weird, as lefties have a higher batting average against Sale but he's already given up 3 homers in nearly 8 innings against righties.
  21. They were talking about this the first week of the season. AJP coming back was a JR decision, IMO.
  22. Lot of good things in tonight's game. Let's hope for a good stretch coming up.
  23. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ May 3, 2011 -> 02:54 AM) Sale needs go to Charlotte to regroup. and take beckham along Beckham's looked much better last two games
