  1. Please explain to me how this man is ever allowed to make personnel decisions? http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...0,3994057.story
  2. Ozzie is "saving" Quentin to face Liriano and Duensing. Good call Ozzie, Quentin destroys LHP. At this point, seems like Quentin has played himself out of the organization. Very rarely do we see guys fall out of favor with Ozzie, KW, etc. and get back into their good graces.
  3. Leave for two hours, and see we scored 10 runs! At least this makes the Twins series a little more interesting.
  4. Sorry Hurt, my quote button isn't working. I was of the opinion a few days ago that Pena should be starting. He had success starting vs KC already this year, and he matches up better against all their lefty hitters.
  5. Very nice end of 1st half to give this team some life.
  6. Blaze, Jackson got blasted yesterday. His stuff has been extremely flat since his 130+ pitch inning.
  7. GREAT decision to start Harrell. You're doing a great job with this pitching staff Ozzie!
  8. Haha, 3 batters, 3 runs for KC. FIRE EVERYONE! Can't believe we wasted so much money on Jackson and Manny while trading our only good prospect for this absolute junk of a team.
  9. Harrell struggling...one pitch pitchers don't usually retire MLB hitters. This is the low point of the season for the Sox, as all the momentum and fanfare is gone. After the Twins series, just shut down Floyd, Danks, and Jackson please!
  10. Bears might as well just fire Lovie and Angelo today, and starting playing for the future. The city is going to absolutely turn on the team if they lose today.
  11. Ozzie thinking he had some new cutting-edge philosophy where the DH wouldn't be important.
  12. Sweet, Teahen playing in RF today instead of Quentin. Having a power threat in the order is overrated.
  13. Ah, I forgot how awful Jay Cutler is. G-reg and Forte suck as well.
  14. If only Thome was a bigger asshole, Ozzie might have liked him more.
  15. If you platoon him, you find a guy who can hit LHP to platoon him with.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 12, 2010 -> 05:19 AM) I remember people so happy saying no matter what that made the season. Look, you have no way of telling whether Big Jim woulda been this good for us. Oz wanted Kotsay/Jones, fine. Blame him. KW needs to make the personnel decisions; he didn't. Big deal. The pitching has been inconsistent as well. IT AINT OUR YEAR. It ain't Oz's fault. It just ain't. So saying "It ain't our year" excuses everyone from accountability?
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 12, 2010 -> 04:11 AM) The 25-5 run was sensational, but a huge tease. I also remember reading that people said "whatever happens I'll remember the 25-5." Well, stand by your words, cause this team wasn't good enough. The lengths you go to in order to deflect criticism away from Guillen amazes me. Sure, we'll remember the great 30 game stretch. Doesn't mean we can't also remember how one single personnel decision by Ozzie had a huge impact on the AL Central this season. That's probably the 4th or 5th game that Thome has single-handedly won for the Twins since the ASB. Next thing you know, you'll probably say that it wasn't Ozzie's decision.
  18. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 12, 2010 -> 04:06 AM) Who the hell has been held accountable for anything in this organization during Kenny's tenure? Razor Shines? And that's only cause he stood up for the young players in the organization.
  19. Haha, the nightmare that this season has turned into is illustrated in this Twins game. GREAT CALL OZZIE...it's just too damn you won't be held accountable for such a terrible decision.
  20. Twins game scoreless heading into 12th. Indians had a chance in the 11th, but Nix messed up a bunt.
  21. Votto clinched the NL MVP tonight barring a choke by the Reds. Saw an amazing stat that he hasn't popped up the ball (140 feet and less) once this season.
  22. Indians announcers going nuts about a batter's interference call in the 7th inning that cost Indians a run and the lead. The call was that Donald bunted the ball when he was already out of the box. Jeez, does Gardenhire jerk off the umpires before or after the game? Two unique calls in the last week that you won't see again until 2012.
  23. Can we let Manny leadoff tomorrow? At least then, we won't have to rely on him to be a run producer.
