I'd take Jordan Taylor over McCamey this year, and not so sure I wouldn't take Battle. Darius Morris seems to be coming back to earth. Oh, and Michigan State sucks. I have no idea how they're still ranked.

Bears versus Packers game thread
QUOTE (G&T @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 09:27 PM) He's been awful on every deep ball. But why are they going deep when they have had success over the middle? It has been a bad game plan. They've really only had success throwing to Forte. NO ONE else is getting open (besides the huge miss to Hester).

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 10:24 PM) Go f*** yourself Johnny Knox. The throw was to the inside...very hard to adjust on that play. If it was a designed jump ball, might have had a better chance.

Ugh, Cutler just isn't good today. Had a chance for some big plays, and failed every time.

So you're saying there's a chance?

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 10:22 PM) Feel free to not address my point. And I'm sure there's numerous other punters who punt a lot in the same situation as Maynard does (opponent's territory, etc). It's when he has to unload on punts where he really struggles.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 09:18 PM) Do you even watch the games? I'd be willing to bet more than 1/2 his punts are in the opposition's territory when he's trying to pin them in the 20. Which he does nearly every time. Come on dude. He's one of the better punters in NFL history. Sure, he was one of the better. But to say he still is would be just as stupid as how you judge me saying he sucks now.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 10:13 PM) If you never posted about Maynard again, I wouldn't be upset. Cause I want a punter who's not dead last in average yard per punt in the NFL? Anyways, he's not the issue here. Bears need to get Knox more involved, as he's only receiver who can get open down the field. Cutler's throwing a lot of passes into coverage, and it's a pick 6 waiting to happen.

G-reg with huge play!

Can I also reiterate that Brad Maynard needs to retire? He sucks!

WTF is Cutler doing? We're playing not to lose against a superior team.

QUOTE (3E8 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 09:21 PM) Did Hester stop running the route near the end? Nope...huge missed play by Cutler, who seemed rattled out of the gate.

Could Lance Briggs be playing a worse game? 4 horrible plays for him so far. Major Wright also majorly sucks...he hasn't touched a ball in play all season.

Ozzie Roast
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 06:46 AM) Me thinks you overreact a tad. This is not a big deal ... again. You mean like Konerko, Thornton, and Beckham all saying they're sick of the distractions and the soap opera?

Ozzie Roast
Just rid the organization of the Guillen family! How many players from last year's team have to say the Guillen's are a distraction before JR steps in?

2010-2011 NBA Thread
My thoughts after watching the Bulls lately are that they'd be nuts to not be more than willing to include Taj and Asik as part of a blockbuster trade package. Some were saying that you couldn't give up both, but I disagree. Sign some journeyman power forward if you need to add more depth up front.

Richmond went home for a few days, and the report is it was for personal reasons. Lots of speculation out there of course, but no one seems to know when he'll play again. No way would he transfer, as it's much more likely he tries to go pro after this season instead of sit out a year.

Not NBA, but I always thought this was the most amazing 10 seconds of dunks I've ever seen.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jan 12, 2011 -> 08:05 PM) It was two games, on the road, against top 12 teams. They just beat Texas on the road. Let's see how they play against Nova and L'Ville before saying that they are "fading" I just meant that I can't see Kemba keeping up his 30 ppg average in the tough Big East.

Darren Sutton for the Dbacks is absolutely fantastic. Heck, I watched most of their bullpen meltdowns last year just to hear him go nuts.

Quite the battle going on for POY in NCAA this season. The four top contenders are Sullinger, Kemba Walker, Jimmer F, and Nolan Smith. Jimmer might be the best offensive player I've seen in a long time, but it's likely he will be on the outside looking in for the POY discussion. With Kemba and UCONN fading in conference, it seems Sullinger has a great chance to be POY even though Nolan Smith is having a fantastic senior season.

Tosh.O was amazing tonight. Onion got old after a few minutes, and can't see anyway that show can stay fresh.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 12, 2011 -> 04:00 AM) Again lol at the refs not calling Battle for that walk, picks it up and takes at least 3 steps before throwing the ball at the rim. Watched the play closely 3 times now, and it doesn't look like an obvious travel. Heck, when Cole bobbled that ball under the hoop to tie it, I was expecting the ref to call a travel.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 11, 2011 -> 06:16 AM) Because of the glove it just was hard to tell where the wrist begins and the hand ends. Had they said he was down that call would have likely stood. I think the slightly better team won, but I dont feel that either of these teams were the best 2 this year. I think we can all agree that TCU is to blame. Auburn was the best team this year, IMO. Actually, Alabama was the most talented team but for some reason just didn't win every game they played this year.
