I'm a huge fan of Eibner, and it stinks we didn't have a supplemental pick to take him. He would have been a great 2nd pick. Also, it seems that the Sox would have taken Grandal if he was there, as was reported the day after the draft. I can't stress how cool it was to see KW say no to Loux due to his elbow issues.

Still not throwing his curve for strikes, if he's throwing it at all. It's such a mistake to just annoint him after a mop-up inning.

Santos to Arizona makes a ton of sense with their bullpen issues and need for a possible closer in the future.

What's intriguing is that the Nationals have a fascination with Edwin Jackson, so getting Arizona involved might make it easier for the Sox to make a deal. Basically, Arizona's asking price for Jackson would be lower than Nats price for Dunn.

Some great insight about the draft on tonight's show. Sounds like KW was dead right on B. Loux and his injury issues. Sounds like with the first pick, out of the 6 possible players they were interested in, it was Grandal, Eibner, Workman, Loux, and Sale. KW was very interested in making Eibner a 2-way player.

The thing with the White Sox is I have absolutely no confidence in their ability to draft and develop their own players. Maybe they're just cursed? With that said, we're going to have to get some production from guys like Beckham, Hudson, and Viciedo (signed, not drafted). With the way Peavy and Rios become very expensive in the next few years, and the huge extension Danks would need to stay, we will have to find some starters from within. The injuries in the minors this year has to really hurt KW's evaluation of their ETA in the Majors.

What a f***ing awful baseball weekend...and yes, if the Cubs win, that's 3.5 games they've made up in 4 days. Umpires making awful calls all over the place for the Cubs tonight...ugh

The biggest reason our international scouting sucked for over a decade was for a portion of that, was the Wilder fiasco.
